From Analog To Digi-Awesome

in #hive-151662last month

I remember how I used to visit the library, write letters, listen to radio when I was kid. Even though I still do them, they are just done in the digital way which has made life easier. This leads me to the kind of relationship I have with my laptop, a toxic one. Anytime I touch Stanley, I end up not eating the whole day. Oh yeah, my laptop is called Stanley. After I realized how my life was turning around with technology, I got a bit scared because even though it was a good thing, I knew it would mean I was going to spend so much time behind my laptop.

What that meant to me was forgetting to eat and also do other important things. It’s very chaotic with Stanley and at a point, my mom wasn’t happy so it was either I forgo those goals or limit the time I spend with Stanley. I later realized I could still achieve all that with Grey(my phone) so I immediately switched to it and oh boy! I’ve achieved a lot.

Let’s start with my mild passion for vlogging and photography in general. If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know I like to vlog and I also try my best to take nice pictures of my crochet works and that comes with editing. I mean I could just post my vlogs or works without editing them but as someone who hates mediocrity especially when it comes to things I am passionate about, I prefer trying to at least put them together nicely.

For my editing journey, I’ve been running with three apps: CapCut, Photogrid and InShot. I’ve seen great improvement. Actually, I’m not so familiar with Capcut but I have done really great projects with it and I absolutely love its features. I’m familiar with InShot and photogrid, and at this point, it’s safe to say those two apps give me joy. The number of gems I have found on InShot is just mind blowing. I always get surprised to find out certain things could be done on InShot for free, whereas other apps ask for “upgrade” first.

The one thing I’ve realized in life is that no matter what you want to do, someone has already been there and one of the greatest thing to do is to seek counsel from such people and know their journeys to avoid making certain mistakes. With this, I present to you the podcast app. The podcast app also goes with notes, Alison and Books. I call these my educational apps. I have learned a lot from these apps more than I did in university, just kidding.

I also have the Learn German app that has contributed tremendously to my German language and it is my favorite app of all time. To back the German learning app and help me achieve my goal faster, most of the books I read are in German language. Sometimes, I get really into the English books that I forget my German books so my reading goal on the books app helps me keep tabs on my reading progress.

I can just imagine how difficult it would have been to learn German without my phone. Was it going to be buying the books from Amazon or visiting the library? In fact which library?

After realizing how much certain aspects of my life have improved with technology, I’m really glad I switched to Grey instead of giving up on those goals. This is just the beginning though. After I get to know the nooks and crannies of editing, people will think I have a PhD in photo/videography. Hehe

LEO Power Up Day - August 15, 2024

You'll become a master yourself in editing in to time with your drive. But I wonder what you're usually onto when you're on Stanley. Anyway, keep in with the German and come teach us soon enough.

Hehe, alright

Oh yeah, my laptop is called Stanley.

Grey(my phone)

To say that I'm surprised is an understatement. Once I had read your post about your AI which you gave a name (though I can't remember the name) and now this???
It seems to me like you go about giving names to gadgets. I bet all the appliances in your house has names as well 😂.
As far as I know, German is quite hard to learn but seeing that you read books written in German, I'm quite impressed. You are doing great 👍

#Dreemerforlife.
