Knowledge of first aid is very important not only for ourselves but also for other people. I have heard many such news in which a person's life has been saved due to first aid and many times it happens that some serious accident happens with someone and a very serious accident happens, in such a situation if he gets first aid then he gets some more time due to which he can reach the hospital on time and the rest of the treatment can be done. Generally it is seen in remote areas that people risk their lives due to lack of treatment. This happens because if any person has an emergency situation and the hospital is very far from there and there is no one to provide first aid, then that person has very little time and due to which there is a lack of treatment and people sit helpless.
If we talk about the olden times, there used to be no primary health center available in the remote villages and there was no educated person in the village who knew first aid. In such a situation, people had to face a lot of problems in the olden days when they faced any emergency problem. In such a situation, you can imagine how many lives a person who has knowledge of first aid can save.
I feel that the government should add first aid to the syllabus of children and the government should make children understand this practically that if a person is in trouble, then how can you give him first aid. This is taught in schools but it is very important to understand it by doing practical because a person remembers practical things quickly and that thing also stays in his mind.
So this incident happened about 5 years ago when I used to work in a different city from my city and I was going to work in the morning with a friend of mine. My friend and I used to go on a bike and we used to go together every day. That day too, we left our house at 8:00 am as usual and reached the highway and when we were taking a turn from the highway, we saw that a car driver had hit a bike rider and fled and that young man fell down after going about 50 meters from there. The person in the car did not stop and ran away but the condition of the bike rider was very bad and both his hands were bruised and he also became unconscious. We were on the highway at that time and we asked about a clinic nearby and we came to know that there is a small clinic about 30 kilometers from here. Then we thought that if we give them some first aid before carrying so much dust, maybe they will get some relief. First of all, I took out the first aid kit from my friend's bike and cleaned his hands with antiseptic liquid and we kept cleaning his wound again and again with the help of antiseptic liquid, then after some time the bleeding stopped, then after that we applied antiseptic cream on it so that he gets some coolness and his bleeding stops. Then we gave him glucose water from a bottle from a nearby shop so that he feels a little cool and he gets some relief from the unconscious state.
Then after about 15 minutes when we felt that the person had become normal, we took him to the nearest cleaning and there we told the doctor that such an incident had happened. After that the doctor gave him first aid and also gave him a tetanus vaccine and then said that he needs to rest for some time. Then the doctor praised us and said that you did the right thing by stopping the bleeding because it would have flowed out and his condition was already unconscious, so you people did a good job by giving him glucose water. Then we dropped that person to his home.
That day I felt very good giving first aid because this was probably the first first aid I gave to someone and even after this I gave first aid to many people but this was my first experience. Helping someone brings a different kind of happiness and motivation from within and you feel happy.
