Reading Past is Important For Future

Hello to all hive users 🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life😊

The curiosity we have to know about history shows how important it is to know history. Many people read history and also do in-depth study and research about it. These are the same people because of whom we are able to understand history so much today and we get to know new things. Today new technologies are being developed so that we are able to understand history in a new way and those who do research on history are also getting a lot of help. If we look at the school curriculum, then history is definitely taught to children till class 10 in the subject of social science. I also studied history till class 10. I liked studying history a lot because through this we get a lot of information about our past, which gives us an idea of how life must have been at that time. However, it is also true that we cannot know history completely because evidence of everything is not available and all the information available today is made from very little evidence. It is also important for us to teach our history because it tells us that the mistakes of the past should not be repeated in the future. Apart from this, whatever happened in the past, if their reasons are not there then such mistakes should not happen in the future or how to control these things. For example, if we read that an epidemic spread in the past and this was the reason behind the spread of the epidemic, then these things can be prevented in the future so that such a disease does not spread, and if it spreads by mistake, then arrangements should be made in advance for how to control it.

If we talk about the future, today we see that the military of every country is very powerful and the reason behind this is that in the past when some states had weak armies, the powerful states used to attack those states and then capture those states, so that the weaker states used to come under the powerful states. If we look into the past, we will find many such stories in which you will come to know that many people attacked many states and then captured the entire state. We come to know from this that how to make our state more secure and how to impose restrictions on the main borders of the states so that outsiders or invaders cannot infiltrate our area. If seen, you can get all kinds of information by studying history, so that you can become better.

I have seen many people who say that why study the past because that thing has passed and it only increases the syllabus. I would like to tell such people that whatever we are today is because of the events of the past and it is very important for us to know how many problems people faced in the past. If you have read history then we see in it that how many wars used to happen in ancient times and those wars were mainly about kingdoms. The more powerful one was, the more his empire used to expand. By reading about the past, we also get to know what kind of strategies were made so that people used to attack each other's kingdoms and what were the shortcomings due to which a king used to lose his kingdom.

I have seen many schools where history is not taught and such schools believe that it becomes a burden in the studies of children. They believe that it is right to study only those subjects which can be useful for the children in the future. For such people, I would like to say here that only a little information from the subjects that children study is useful for their future and everything else is wasted if seen in a certain way. I am talking here about those subjects which we in schools believe are important for the future. History subject should be made compulsory because it is very important for us to know about our past and almost every person should study it.

Thanks for reading till the end

History is very important and I still don't understand why it's not being taught in schools. It tells us about past mistakes and also the good things our heros has done preventing us from making such mistakes

It goes without doubt that teaching history to students ensures they have adequate understanding about events of the past but over the years in my country, there have been other subjects that has been added to the curriculum which have similar content to history. Due to that, it's relevance has decreased significantly.
