A pint of Guinness and Tony Soprano for Beer Saturday

Tony gives it the nod of approval

Anyone who is 25 or younger probably doesn't remember the Sopranos. If that's you or maybe it just wasn't on your channels in what ever country you live in? If either are you and you like a good show, then do yourself a favour and go right back to the start of the Sopranos and watch every episode from the start.

It is among the best shows ever made in my opinion and a worthy time investment for any person who likes a good TV show.

Having been greenlit in 1997, the series was broadcast on HBO from January 10, 1999, to June 10, 2007. We all know that HBO know how to make and produce good shows.

Th Sopranos spanned six seasons and over eighty episodes.

Ya all good @ablaze, but what's it got to do with Beer Saturday?

Good question.

Well, I was away in Limerick recently with business and we went out for dinner and as usually happens, we went for a few pints afterwards and ended up in Tom Collins in the city centre.

It's fairly unassuming from the outside, but is a great Guinness pub and we had a few nice pints of the black stuff here.

We were shooting the breeze and enjoying our few pints of the black stuff.

That's when I spotted Tony.

For those unfamiliar with the Sopranos Tony was the main man, the protagonist of the show, the boss of the Soprano crime family in New York.

I even captured a bit of festive cheer in this photo with the little bit of holly on show, as you can see below.

So go on, give the Sopranos a go if you've never seen it, and if you've never given a pint of Guinness a go in Tom Collins pub in Limerick then give that a lash too.

Until next time Beer Saturdayorians...

Oh by the way...

Who was with you?

I'm offended! I know who the Sopranos are and I'm 25 :P I like that place. Seems to have a cool vibe.

Ha ha, no offence meant 🤣

Great show eh, hard to beat it, The Wire and Breaking Bad were up there too. True Detective, Ozark others that come to mind too..

Ya good vibe to this pub, nice and chilled, not pretentious like some pubs can be..
