No Beer for Me
No beers for me today, but that's not going to stop me making a beer Saturday Post because I very seldom miss one of these. I really like this contest and always do my level best to take part.
So this week instead of telling you about a beer that I had today, I'm going to look back at my recent holiday in Spain and tell ye about a few beers that I had there. It was at a Hilton hotel on site at the golf resort where we stayed near Murcia in the South of Spain.
The beers in Spain always going down well. Blue skies, the sun beating down and you're on your holidays. Now what's not to love about that!
I had this beer, my wife had a cocktail and the kids had some fizz. We were all happy out and we treated ourselves to lunch at the hotel. Unfortunately the food was pretty diabetical, the chips were like microwave chips, were cold and not at all tasty and that's doing microwave chips a disservice!!
Here they are ready to bounce off my plate!! At least the burger was decent. My wife got a BLT and that came out burnt, so overall the food here was really disappointing. Luckily there were lovely Italian and Indian restaurants on site too, so we did not dine at the Hilton again. The beer and cocktails were decent to be fair though.
As if the bad food wasn't bad enough, we stayed for a swim at the pool. There were a few other kids dotting around. My son came to running out of the pool saying there was a poo in there. I went to investigate and although I can't be sure, it certainly did look like a turd in there, so I quickly got them out and showered them and we went back to our own CLEAN pool!
