Orwell Should "Be Proud" of The UK

Remember just a few months ago when the UK was jailing people for posting online comments against mass immigration? Well, things are getting even more Orwellian over there.

The latest news is that people in the UK could face up to 15 years in prison just for viewing “far-right” content. Pure madness. Honestly, the Inquisition might have been more bearable 😄… How exactly do authorities know what citizens are watching?

Simple. We’ve handed over our privacy through apps on our smartphones, each of which needs our “consent” to track us to work “properly.” This is by design; it's no coincidence.

Maybe I sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I stand by my belief that Facebook, along with other social media, was created for the elites and not for us. Tracking us is getting easier, and soon it’ll go even further. Once they get rid of cash, it’s game over for many rights and freedoms we once had—and don’t be fooled into thinking any president, even Trump, will significantly change things. He had his chance, and most politicians are just puppets.

Look at COVID policies and the support for the Ukraine war: all of Europe followed America’s lead, proving how deeply America serves the elites' endless-wars agenda instead of focusing on citizens' well-being.

So, what about Bitcoin? Unfortunately, the ideal of Bitcoin as “people’s money” has faded; it’s now largely controlled by oligarchs. Our dream of creating a decentralized alternative is slipping away as the crypto community focuses more on profit than principle.

Don't get me wrong; wanting wealth isn’t a problem. But if we ignore the creeping Orwellian state, all we’re doing is accumulating wealth that’s at risk of devaluation down the road.

Hive is decentralized and solid but massively underexposed, out-marketed by meme coins. Yet it still stands as an alternative to mainstream social media—no doubt about that.

Technology is a double-edged sword, and the UK seems to be leaning hard into the painful edge. This is part of the grand centralization plan: that’s why metropolises replaced small, spread-out communities in the first place. We’re easier to control.

But it’s not the end of the world. Just as people are fighting against the ULEZ cameras in London, they’ll resist other draconian measures. It's another challenge we’ll have to face.

I guess we’re fine... for now.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Couldn't agree more.

troubling comments about uk again, it's been in my mind lately. the decline of a paradigm is clear and obvious.

i am shifting more and more to resource focus rather than money. i like the barter idea and if we are indeed to have no legit free flowing money in the future might as well go back to basics.

i totally agree, it is in our hands right now. that is the only thing we can control to a degree. the world stage and its madness is beyond any reason or individual influence. we can spend our energy more wisely not getting sucked into the bs drama and fear shenanigans. but it is necessary to observe, and the uk is merely one example of where the trend to implosion of now-archaic models is undeniable

blessings dude

True. It’s not like the rest of the world is all champagne and caviar.

the thing is that many people still pretend it to be. being in germany was wild because for all the obvious fuck ups and pressing coercions of people and their spirit, most people still pretend it's all business as usual.

it would be such a mighty shock if the ATMs stopped working and the lights went out one day. incredible how sluggish and slow so many are to realize the frail situation they are in.

better to be prepared and recognize the writing on the wall.

I’m quite prepared tbh. By the way, are you prepared for the biggest bull market of all times?

as prepared as i can be i guess ahaha.

i do see a major facepunch event before that though, you think alts will just run from here and there is no immediate down-scare beforehand?

hive bottomed nicely in the mid high 14s which makes total sense. but i do sort of hope that this push right now is a fakeout before the real run next year.

in other words: what do i know ahahhaa. you think this is it right now then?

Alts haven’t even started.

A big part of the problem is that the English are crap at revolutions. The last successful one we had was 1645. Since then, they've all either failed or been inside job fake revolutions. So the establishment aren't as afraid as they should be.

But the reality is that the English are good at being arsey and pushing back against stupid rules without doing an actual revolution. Mockery is a powerful tool.

Plus, somewhere between a quarter and a third of the population are now first or second generation immigrants from countries with years of instability, war and revolution. If those groups start being targeted with oppression, their reactions have been proven to be a lot more forthright.

You would be surprised to know how many so-called revolutions were actually "fake".

I'm a bit of a historian.... and I've come to the conclusion that probably 90% of "revolutions" are just a swap around at the top or are the result of foreign interference.

Georgia is an interesting example. There's a chart showing the number of US-funded NGO's, which jumps by several orders of magnitude just before each election. Then the States gets cross and imposes sanctions when Georgia brings in a foreign agent registration law that's almost word for word the same as the equivalent American one.....

"It's a big club and we ain't part of it"... George Carlin couldn't have said that better.
