Summer seems to be back in this part of the world. We hit around 26-27 degrees Celsius today at noon, and tomorrow looks like it's going to be more of the same. I don’t know what changed, but after all the heavy rain and cold, we’re now enjoying completely different weather than we had last week here in Eastern Europe.
I spent almost the entire day outdoors, and I feel like the tan I got from the sea is slowly coming back to life.
This afternoon, I went for lunch in Serbia with a friend who’s in town for the weekend. As usual, I had the pljeskavica (a type of traditional Serbian burger), and it was pretty tasty—unlike the one I had last week at that restaurant, which I swear I’ll avoid for the rest of my life.
Downtown Kladovo, where we went to eat, was packed with people—most of them Romanians. I’m not sure how much the Serbians like us, but we definitely love their food. So did the white dog that sat next to our table.
I fed him some leftovers, and that was the perfect recipe for keeping him glued to us until we left the restaurant. Afterward, we treated ourselves to some ice cream, and after all those calories, a walk was definitely in order.
Near the parking lot where I left my car, there was a nice park where we decided to take a stroll. There weren’t many people around, but the walk was a welcome change of pace. Now, I’m about to hit the shower and head out again...
