REYNATIS Demo
REYNATIS is an Action-RPG that takes place in a fictional version of Shibuya. The game follows characters with superpowers, fighting demons in modern-day Japan and in a parallel world called "Fog." Superpowers have become commonplace, and the law had to adapt to this. I love how the tutorial made you play as law enforcers, while the main story follows a stray power user.
The gameplay is typical for an ARPG, but has its twists. During battles, you can switch between Suppressed Mode for evasion and Liberated Mode for powerful attacks. The mechanic for avoiding attacks reminded me of another game I played before, but I'm not sure of the name.
This is my playthrough of the game's Demo. The game has a unique visual style but on a lower budget. I didn't expect AAA fidelity from this game, but it felt lower-budget than I even expected while playing. Not bad, though. I felt some Kingdom Hearts vibes as I played REYNATIS, but I believe a better comparison would be with The World Ends With You.
Anyway, I had fun playing this Demo. It's exactly one hour long, so I finished it in one setting. I would love to check out the full game on a good sale.
