My university hosted a national theatre festival called Tamasha 24.We were so excited and decided to attend this event as our university life is about to end.
It was a 2 days event so let me start with the day 1.
We used our university transport service during the first day.Our university bus arrives at 11.30 so we woke up at 9am and got ready.Then we rushed to our bus station but the bus was late so we waited for about an hour at the bus station.
Finally our bus arrived at 12:30 and we departed.The weather was so nice so i clicked some nice pictures.
Then we arrived at our venue and checked in.
When we enter the venue the first thing i saw was the poster of the festival.This poster caught our attention and we read all the details of the event first.
Then we moved forward and explored the building before entering the hall.The building was so beautiful and the most amazing thing in this whole building was a sculpture which basically showed different poses.
We all started posing like this sculpture and clicked many pictures.There was so many other people mostly our university students that clicked the pictures in front of this sculpture.
Then we all checked our tickets before entering the hall.
Then our event was about to start so we all rushed to the hall.The route to the hall was so aesthetic and looked so nice.There was a small hallway and the lighting and the pictures were so nice.
As we entered the hall,i was instantly captivated by its beauty.The woodwork looked so nice and i loved it alot because it's one of my favourites.
We waited for an hour because the event was delayed but thankfully the team played some good music to keep us entertained. They played really good music and it really refreshed our mood.
Then the event started finally and the first performance was a dance performance by a boy of our university. We really enjoyed ourselves during his performance.
The curtains were closed after the first performance and we all settled to our seats again waiting for the next performance.
After some time,the curtains opened again and the next performance began which was a drama that revolved a story of a man who dies for his love in prison along with his friend.That drama was very traumatising and the chracters looked very realistic.
As the drama concluded,the team members came to stage and introduced themselves.we all appreciated them and gave them a round of applause.
Then the next drama came which was a story of boy decived by his love ones and this drama was very well directed and scripted. We really enjoyed this one.
After second drama,we decided to take a break and grap something to eat.The sun was setting and the weather was perfect so we decided to walk towards the f6 sector.
After reaching the sector we started exploring the sector before we ate something.
We hadn't decided what we want to eat before and when we started discussing everyone had a different plan so to settle the debate we decided to cast a vote.In the end,pizza won and we all went to broadway to enjoy some pizza.We ordered two pizzas and one pasta which was a 7/10 for me.
Then we headed back to the venue.We decided to walk towards the venue and not to take a cab.The weather was so chilly.We cracked alot of jokes and laughed so hard.
Then we reached at our venue where the guards stopped us and checked our tickets.Then before heading back to the hall we enjoyed a cup of tea from cafe.
When we went back to hall,a band was performing ghazal in front of us.His voice and skills were so amazing.we really enjoyed ourselves and felt completely lost in music.
The performance ended at 7pm.We all headed back to our hostels in the university buses.The weather was so chilly that made this ride a memorable part of the evening.
The next day we woke up pretty late an missed the university bus.So we booked a cab and reached the venue at 5pm.
This time we entered the hall from a different route where i saw some pictures.The first picture of Quaid-e-azam was so mesmerizing because you can't see it with naked eyes.When i opened my cemare the picture became clear.
Then we entered the hall where a drama team was performing.The hall was completely filled so we sat on stairs for sometime.
The students were so talented everyone was performing so nicely.
When the drama ended,some people left the hall and we finally got some free seats.Shortly after this drama, the next drama started.
This drama was the star of the show.This drama was a mix of comedy and seriousness. Everyone clapped alot for them.I hope this team will win.
After watching 2 dramas,we were feeling bored and were about to leave.Just then,the host announced that two music bands would be performing next. Hearing this our mode instantly shifted and we decided to stay in the hall.
The first band played instruments and sang so many songs on our demand.We also joined them.
After singing so much our my throat felt so numb that I could barely speak.Everyone in the hall also joined him that created an incredible vibe.If felt so amazing to experience something different from daily routine.
Then the next performance started which was a music band that all played different instruments and played tunes that were so amazing.
Then we checked the schedule and it was the last performance of the festival. So we all headed out and waited for our buses.we didn't go anywhere to eat because it was already late.We all discussed how we should make more plans in the upcoming time.I didn't join any festival and functions but today i realised I am really missing out.
So during my way back i decided to enjoy more and not to miss any opportunity in the university.
After reaching the hostel city we decided to eat something before entering. So we ate a good meal and then warmed ourselves with the fire as the weather was so cold.
Then we headed back to our hostels and luckily university announced a day off on Monday so today i got plenty of time to write this post.
