These images were taken around July 2023. When I woke up earlier than usual, I noticed my yard was overgrown with small milky white mushrooms.
The mushrooms grow in small groups at sparse distances. Most likely, this is a fungus commonly called the fool's funnel or false champignon. The Latin name is Clitocybe rivulosa, which is a poisonous basidiomycete fungus belonging to the large genus Clitocybe.
The mushroom's physique resembles a small, white, funnel-shaped umbrella with a short stem and grows on moist soil.
Although small, these mushrooms contain toxins with deadly high levels of muscarine which can cause symptoms of sludge syndrome.
In ancient times, this kind of mushroom was very likely to be often misused as a potion to harm an unwanted king, queen, prince, princess, servant, or anyone else who needed to be destroyed.
