FungiFriday: Sumatran Bioluminescent Mushroom

in #hive-15132717 days ago

Indonesia is a tropical country with rainforests spread across almost all its islands. In addition to being rich in flora and fauna, there is also a kingdom of mushrooms with abundant species. There are many interesting mushrooms around us with diverse forms. Mushroom lovers or researchers can explore the nature of Indonesia to find beautiful and rare tropical forest mushrooms. Nature will guide you on a mushroom walk.

I will share captures of an interesting mushroom species with you: Filoboletus manipularis, commonly known as luminous porecap. Interestingly, the mushroom's fruit body is bioluminescent.

I always notice that the F. manipularis type commonly has a rather large stem and is not too tall, but this one has a tall and slender stem, one more thing is its conical pileus (cap).

Unfortunately, the macro lens used could not capture the entire mushroom cluster. Understandably, I only rely on a simple macro lens for a smartphone.
