One time, I showed my youngest son the macro photos I took. I thought it would be good as a lesson for him to recognize small animals around us. I scrolled down one by one so he could see them all. He seemed interested in the jumping spider.

"How many eyes does it have?" That was an easy question for me.

"I checked, a jumping spider has two big and four small eyes. So there are six eyes in total."

"Wow! That's cool! So it can see in front, side, and back?"

"Yes, it's possible."

"What about hair? How many hairs does a jumping spider have?"

"After I counted it, there are a thousand." I saw he was a little doubtful of my answer, and I said again, "If you don't believe me, you can count it yourself."

"Oh, no! Instead of counting spider hairs, you'd better ask me to pull out the weeds in the yard!"

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All these photos are my original work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
