Eternal night

The moon split in two, but there was no honey or cheese to fall. Only darkness and emptiness.

From the open cracks in the sky, winged shadows emerged, vampires with gaunt faces and razor-sharp fangs. They were the most feared undead, stripped of all humanity.

Their piercing shrieks rent the night as they swirled about the devil's towers, a black stone castle whose battlements pointed like claws to the broken firmament.

There would be no Elysiums or romantic reunions. The last light had been extinguished. All that remained was absolute nothingness.

The winged creatures descended in a cloud of bat-like wings, hungry eyes glowing in the gloom. They moved like a swarm, stalking, searching for their next prey.

I ran aimlessly, my heart pounding in my ears. But there was no escape. Soon, their claws reached for me, tearing at my flesh.

In my final moments, a chilling truth struck me: after death, there is no judgment or condemnation. No comforting embrace, no afterlife.

Just dust returning to dust. Eternal night devouring all in its relentless darkness.
