In the forgotten village of Frostfall, plagued by endless winters, only Ewan's family remained: he, his daughter Nora and little Caleb. A harsh winter ravaged everything, forcing them to an unthinkable act to survive.
When Caleb died of hunger and cold, Ewan decided to feed them with his body. Nora, horrified, had no choice but to obey.
Years later, pregnant by her father's abuse, Nora was still his prisoner. With the new winter, Ewan repeated his abominable act with the newborn.
Shattered, Nora fled one night into the woods with a knife. Ewan caught up with her, axe in hand, determined to kill her. But the young woman, consumed by pain and rage, defended herself by stabbing him repeatedly until she ended her life.
Alone in the endless icy darkness, Nora became the last inhabitant of Frostfall. Her broken mind barely remembered her name. Only the eternal cold and the silence of the woods were her companions.
Clutching her bloody knife, the last survivor of that cursed village wandered aimlessly through the snow, into the dense gloom of the endless winter.
