Today, I am sharing a battle that covers all bases starting from strategy and monster picking to being eligible to be under the weekly celebrated event of Battle Mage Secrets.

Without further ado, let's begin!

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 24 and all the summoners were available. The limited mana cap will allow us to focus the battle deck around one monster who would be the key to victory. Should we use multiple yet small monsters they would all fall within the first 3 rounds. Hence, both of us went with a centerpiece and used other monsters to fill in the gap.

Battle Rules:-

  • Unprotected- Monsters do not have any armor and do not get any armor from abilities or summoner buffs.
  • Stampede- The ability trample can be triggered multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic damage by 1 for all enemy monsters)(level 5)

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns, Heal).

Melee Attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach, Trample), Uraeus(Ability: Poison, Sneak), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).

Blocked Melee Attackers: Corpse Fiend(No Ability).

My strategy was to attack him from the front and back. With 2 strong units in the first 2 positions in the deck, I have a guarantee of 8 damage. With 2 more units in the middle, I have a high chance to break open his deck from the back with 7 damage and a potential damage infliction through poison. I placed Corpse Fiend as a shield for incoming enemy attacks from the back and hoped to deter them for a round.

Overall my damage is 17 with a healing of 3.

Now for the opposition's turn.

Summoner: Helios Matriach(Ability: Increase in speed for all ally monsters).

Tank: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martry).

Dual Attacker: Quora towershead(Ability: Bloodlust, Heal, Immunity).

Ranged Attacker: Fungus Flinger(Ability: Martyr, Blind).

Blocked Melee Attacker: Venator Kinjo(Ability: Reflection Shield, Camouflage).

His strategy was pretty solid. He wanted to focus all the stats boost toward his bloodthirsty monster that could heal and the ability to increase its stats once it got a kill. The blacked monster in the back was just a decoy and would not be targeted as it had the camouflage ability. That way, he wanted his survival chance on Qoura to go through the roof.

His overall damage per round is 5. After he gets the martyr effects, I would come to 8 damage per round with a healing of 4.

Major Events

The first thing to happed was his overall damage was reduced by one thanks to my summoner's ability. The first monster to fall was the Fungus as Sha-vi went straight for the one in the back of his deck. That got his Towershead an overall stats boost.

After more than half the round passed, his Marksrat fell thus giving him another stats boost on Quora.

At the end of the round, his Quora bit the dust as every single monster was forced to focus on it. Had any one of them missed, it would've been game over for me.

And finally, his last man standing went out as easily as the first one; with a single strike by my monster.
