Today, I will share a battle that does not end well for my team. However, it is still an amazing team game that should be up in the Hall of Infamy.
Without further ado, let's begin!
The arena was at Shambali monastery, one of the longest and most difficult maps to push payload at. The primary reason for all that is there are many paths one could take to get behind the enemy team and do decent damage from there. If you end up with a bad teammate, you're cooked.
The rank of the battle is Gold I to Platinum II, I hoped not to get the short end of the stick as I was the tank and needed good healing.
In the first round, I decided to use Sigma since it has the most abilities that increased its survival rate in sticky situations, making it best for defending.
The first round ended with me having over 20K stats where more than 12K damage was mitigated. I had the highest kill count than everyone on both sides, yet I came second to my DPS with 23 kills. However, the enemy tank had the lowest number of deaths in the lobby. We also did not allow them to push the pay payload completely and stopped them in the final 3rd.
In the second part of the battle, I chose Zarya as I am consistent with its performance in terms of damage output.
The round lasted roughly 10 minutes and did not end in my favour. I undoubtedly had the highest eliminations in the lobby with the second highest damage count and highest damage mitigated with fewer deaths. and yet we lost.
In the last segments of the battle, our team wiped them, but they resurfaced within 5 seconds they used all their ultimates at once and wiped us in turn. With little than 10 seconds in the extra time, we lost.
This was one thing I knew from the start as I had multiple kill-chains and the game was bound to showcase my clip as the Play of The Game.
