Hello, splinter-warriors. I hope you are doing well.
Today, I will share a battle in the Wild Silver leagues in which strategy overpowered the deck full of monsters.
Without further ado, let's begin!
Battle Conditions
The mana cap is 22 and there are 4 summoners to choose from: Fire, Water, nature, and Life.
Battle Rules:-
- Blood and Sunder: All units have corrosive ward.
Keeping the mana cap and battle rules in mind, I chose the Life summoner as I have a few quality monsters that cost me high mana but were enough to take out an entire crew if placed in the right spots.
Battle Details
Let's start from my side:
Summoner: Franz Ruffmare(Ability: Increase in shield by 1 for all ally monsters).
Tank: Imperial Knight(Ability: Void Armour).
Non-Attacker: Armoursmith(Ability: Repair).
Magic Attacker: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
My strategy was to keep my tank from falling while my bloodthirsty monster would take out and hopefully trigger her bloodlust. That way, my overall damage and HP would increase. To make that happen, I chose a repairman to increase the overall HP of my tank as it had void armour.
My overall damage per round is 5 with a +2 increase in shield for the tank. Should the Bloodlust get triggered, it would increase linearly.
Now for the opposition:
Summoner: Milor Crowling(Ability: Inducing the Thorns ability for all ally monsters).
Tank: Fungus Flinger(Ability: Martyr).
Blocked Melee Attacker: Endless Ape(Ability: Scavenger), Mycelic Morphoid(No Ability), Fungus Fiend(No Ability*).
Magic Attacker: Goblin Psychic(Ability: Tank heal).
Non-attacker: Chaos Agent(No Ability).
His strategy was to use a wall of low-HP monsters as they would cause thorns damage to any melee attackers and upon their death, it would be scavenged to their true tank, the ape. It would further retain its place as it would get healed by the Psychic.
His Overall damage per round is 4. Adding in the damage from thorn, it would increase by 2 to 6 damage per round since I had only 1 melee attacker.
Major Events
The first monster to fall was his healer. This opening attack erased his entire strategy thanks to Captain Katie.
After half the round had passed, his tank fell and thus his true tank increased its HP and damage. However, his overall damage was quite low.
Next, Katie triggered her bloodlust again as it deleted another weak monster on his team, and thus my overall damage and HP increased.
At the start of the round, his tank fell thanks to my Katie. It further triggered the bloodlust and the overall damage increased.
At the start of the first round, his only monster fell to my bloodthirsty monster.
Results
Thus my strategy was proved to be superior and effective in this low mana battle. Not only that, I also didn't lose any monsters proving that my monster selection was flawless.
