It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Gale force winds, driving rain, dysfunctional train services, and a host of "where's my stuff" emails from customers who think Royal Mail can deliver like normal in the week after Black Friday.
So it's really nice to be able to get away from all that for a while and do my #SaturdaySavers update 😁

How Did The Week Go ?
Hive Power
A nice milestone this week - I tipped over the 11,000HP mark.
I'm 23HP short of my goal, and with 3 weeks of the year left I'll be very disappointed if I don't hit it !
The thing which has made the difference is that I've really pushed myself to keep posting every day. To a certain extent that's meant that it's been the same posts just spread out a bit more. At the beginning of the year I was sitting down at the weekend and doing a cluster of posts. But it meant that if I was away for a weekend or just had a busy one, it made a real dent in my progress.
HBD
The increase in the price of HIVE also triggered one of my trades on Hivedex.io, which bought me 16.5HBD. I'm still not going to hit my HBD target, but I've got a reasonable stack of them.
I periodically check Hivebuzz to see what my HBD savers rank is. Over the last couple of years I've been consistently climbing the rankings. Last week I dropped slightly, but I think that's actually a good thing. It means I'm not the only one trying to build up a savings pot of HBD ! Combined with the increased HIVE price reducing the debt ratio, that lowers the risk factor nicely.
Liquid HIVE
The only thing which concerns me is that I've pretty much run through all the liquid HIVE I bought when the price was low, and I'm feeling tight on fiat funds to top it up.
So I'll have to think up a way to generate more liquid HIVE.
The problem with that is that I don't want to do it by diverting HBD earnings or powering down. Delegating to get drips isn't a great use of my HP compared to curation earnings, and most of my Tribe token earnings are currently being converted across to buy BBHO's.
I'm sure I'll think of something !
The BBH Project
This is starting to feel like a weekly plug ! But the BBH project is something I'm getting very interested in.
@bradleyarrow is putting a huge and consistent amount of effort into it, and that's really starting to make a difference.
Yes, most altcoins and tribe tokens are going up a bit at the moment, but the price increase in BBH and BBHO is significantly higher than the average. To give you an idea, LEO is nicely up and currently the value I hold is 1.76 times my original investment. For BBHO, that figure is 3.75 times my original investment, and as a new token I'd have expected it to drop after the initial flurry of interest. For BBH, which admittedly I bought when the drip was in freezer territory, it's a whopping 8 times my original investment.
The BBH project has a front-end, https://www.thebbhproject.com/ where you can earn BBHO by staking some and voting (similar to HP and LEO).
Additionally, @bradleyarrow does a drip of SWAP.HIVE and other tokens each Saturday. This is already good, but in addition he runs a witness node, currently at position 68 on the table. All the earnings over the cost of running it are recycled back into the project as earnings for BBH holders.
He wants to make the project one of the best passive earners on Hive, and moving the witness up the chart to increase it's earnings will cycle more back to all of us, so I encourage everyone to vote for it if you've got witness votes to spare !

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
