There has been a huge issue in the country, and it is definitely an embarrassment for me as the citizen and all of people in the country, and it is sad news for the Republic of Indonesia that we are led by the a clown minister.
The Pusat Data Nasional or National Data Center got a ransomware attack, and it caused so many ministries and the public body could not use most of the data that they needed to serve the community since the data was lock because of the ransomware.
The release from the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information even said that they could not retrieve the data and save them for national use. I mean, even when we have some problems with @arcange sql server was down, they still have the backup, and starting over from the backup that they have, increasing the security, and they can be back up and running after a few days.
And can you imagine that this is the data for the whole nation, which doesn't have any backup, so once the data got attacked, and everything was down. From that press release, they even said that the hacker, gained access to the facility because they managed to get through the Windows Defender. I mean? I am not good at computers, and for things that are as important as national data and only relying on Windows Defender is just a joke.
Another sad thing is that the hacker or the owner of the ransonware, who managed to decrypt the data said that they will release the key for free this Wednesday. Another slap for the incompetent boomer Minister, who doesn't even have any shame to step down from his position as the Minister. It is such a joke and embarassment.
