After all these years become a member or a user of most of social media app, I tend to become a silent reader than be open and voice my ideas or response to any viral news. Although sometimes I pour my idea here on hive, but I rather keep it for myself, and not directly address the issue right there on the spot when the situation is still hot.
Mostly I will wait for the dust to settle, as there are more and more and more plot twists happening on the viral issue, I don't want to be the one reacting the hardest and then at the end feel deceived when I know the real story, and how the story has twisted.
Also people seem to be experts of something that they don't really know, or have never experienced to voice their opinion, which makes the debate a little bit more amusing to read.
The recent commotion come from a post that narrates a man married to a successful doctor who filed a divorce because he just wanted to feel how his wife helped him prepare a plate of rice (this is strictly to the Eastern world culture), but more or less the same as a husband asking his wife to make him a sandwich.
You can guess where this goes, about how feminism, gender equality, ungrateful husbands, patriarch culture and it goes on and on. Well everyone has their own opinion which I respect. But the plot twist was the post was actually fiction, it was all fake, and it's never happened.
All of those useless online debate was happen from a fake post, a fiction story that never happen, yet there are people who are willing to spend times and emotion debating to other people which they don't even know or even care in real life.
That is truly a plot twist of the plot twist, and because of that reason, I would rather keep my thumbs away from voicing my idea, until the settle dust. It is nice to ride the wave but bad when the waves crashed your into the dangerous reef. so always choose the wave, the smaller one might be a better one. hahaha
