The skies here is gloomy still. While we like it this way so it is not hot to roam around the town buying, we are also slightly worried when it rains. We drive with the motorcycle only, having rain on while in the road is not nice.
Arriving at the town, the Alikaraw dance troops are practicing there routine at the front of the Municipal hall. I visit the Church but there is no mass. The schedule here is unlike in the city where there are several mass in a day. Here it is only at 5:00 in the morning and at 5:00 in the afternoon. I stop at the adoration and prayed.
After that I walk pass the gym. I see these art display around it. Some are busy preparing the music instruments, some are busy finishing up there art display.
Here they showcase the bahay kubo
Here at the side is the giraffe painted and the skin is made dried leaves. Who would have thought about about using the brown leaves as its skin. Quiet brilliant is it.
We also have here the giant flower besides the second story bahay kubo.
Here we have the chocolate factory movie character Charlie. The pink leaves of the tree catches my attention to come inside the gym.
Here we also have a lone giant deer seemingly standing on a snow. The body is inlaid with the rounded coconut husk fiber. Such a creative pattern to think about and the snowy path is made of cotton. It depects winter.
Here we have the giant peacock. Same with the others, its feathers is made of organic material painted with bursting colors. I am empress with the creativity.
I think the theme does not connect with each other over all. But it has created a little side of the town with a colorful and artsy vibe that kids and anyone like me appreciate.
That makes the highlight of me coming from the mountains to town. After that I buy what I was opting to. It is the a hat that my Tatay need and the mat for my Nanay.
I am back to the barrio and my nephew is helping me bringing the things I bought. He loves the hat and asking it as his. He looks like walking mushroom in it. Simplest joy.
Bye for now. See you next time.
