People do things for different motive, but regardless of your good motives of not wanting to outshine others when you are too shy to show up, better opportunities will pass you by.

The world wouldn't wait for anyone, the clock keeps ticking and the world keeps evolving.

I had a friend who hated to be in the limelight, she was very intelligent but hated to be seen. Others in class started taking advantage of her and they took praises for her handiwork. She didn't see it as a big deal until one day when someone actually copied her final project, and claimed it wasn't her work.

Ella cried her eyes out that day, she couldn't defend herself because she never liked the attention or limelight.

That incident changed her and afterwards, she learned to take glory for a job well done.

Being in the spotlight brought some benefits before we graduated and I'm sure that in her next life, she wouldn't give another person the chance of out-shining her.

Some people are naturally shy, and rather than take the praise for a good job, they rather deny or downplay their effort.

2025 should be different. It's time to wake up and show up. It's time to stop hiding behind the scene for your good work or talent. If you want to go far in life, it's time to put yourself out there and let the world know you.

If you're skilled person, always share your DIY processes with people, your challenges and your successes. You never can tell who is watching and who's getting inspired by what you do. You also never can tell how far that can take you to.

The world is now a digital one and at the snap of a finger, one good job can go viral and take you places beyond your expectations. But of you fail to wake up and show up, how will the world hear your name? If you hide behind the scenes because you hate to be in the spotlight, how will you shine?

I felt inspired to share this as memories from high school popped in my head. We all learn from day to day experience, and no story is insignificant when it comes to learning.

Here's a reminder to everyone to be at their business, with joy and passion. show the world you enjoy what you do and you are proud of what you do.

That way, people will always watch out for you and for better opportunities that can take you places.

Pretty flowers catches the attention of people because it blooms. It doesn't hide, it sprouts. Let today be a game changer for you, to bloom, to sprout and to take charge of what you deserve.
