Good friends are the kind who wants to see you win and call your attention to things they want you to improve on.
This year has been a hell of a ride for me already. If you are observant you'll notice how I'm no longer present here on Hive like I used to last year.
Here is still my home and where I find peace but my schedule for this year has changed drastically.
Prior to now, I was a boss of myself who did things at her own pace. But right now, I'm currently honing my fashion skill at a fashion Academy and it's not been an easy one.
Here's what my schedule look like now, I have to wake up pretty early and carry out my chores for the day and then head for school as I go from home.
It's 8-hours of class activities with loads of project, assignment, group work and market surveys on a daily basis. Well, I know that nothing good comes easily and everything has a price we pay.
I've always dreamt of doing this because I have good mission and vision for my brand. They say learning is a continuous process and one never stops learning until their very last breath. And an upgrade takes your game from 80-100 if you know what I mean. (Although a lot of people admire my skill, I'm not satisfied with where I am, I want to add more value to what I offer). I have a dream to chase.
However, it's really hard to joggle my new schedule with writing consistently here and staying very active here. I am one who doesn't like to write alone but also enjoy to engagie with others, because that has been the little way I've grown and learned a lot here on the chain. I really wish anyone can suggest how to keep up with these things without being burned out.
Writing is very therapeutic for me and when I'm overwhelmed I like to let out what's on my mind.
This is where a good friend comes in. Recently, someone reached out to me encouraging me to not let my fire down, I guess the person noticed the recent drop in my Hive activities.
According to the person, I never may know who's getting inspired by everything I do out here, the effort I put in, how I diversify my writing and all and it was as though this person knew how much I needed to hear that.
At some point, I almost felt like going on a long break here on Hive to focus on my projects and all but hearing those kind words uplifted me and reminded me why I started blogging.
It was actually for the love of writing, for honing my writing skill and giving value to anyone who came across my blog, so do I put the thing that gives me joy on hold because there's something else I need to do?
I reflected deeply after our conversation and then I decided to recreate a more realistic writing and engagement schedule.
I'm big on finding happiness and building a good name for myself. I would rather not make writing a chore so as to stay consistent here but ensure I bring value whenever I decide to make a post here on Hive.
I would be writing more about my challenges and how I conquer them. About my skills and how I make a masterpiece from start to finish, about my day and how it went, about what's on my mind and things that mean the most to me and of course share beautiful stories that resonate with my audience as well.
As for my engagement, I think I'd rather visit other Hiver's post as early as possible before leaving for school other than when I'm back from school exhausted. When I'm home at night, I can now respond to comments on my blog as well. It's looking very doable.
Always appreciate the people who look out for you and notice the littlest things about you. They are the motivation you need to keep being who you are and reaching your full potentials.
