A Story To Start
I always believe that things that happen in my life are at the right time. It didn't happen without reason. Various moments in life come to teach us many things. Although sometimes it is still difficult for us to accept all of that.
Once we are masters of it about accepting unexpected events in our lives, we will be more calm in living our lives.
The things I am discussing are about some of the activities I have had to carry out in the last few days. Previously you have read my gardening post about preparation for replanting and I had to process used soil media. To this day, I haven't replanted it. The good thing is that I gave the planting medium time to rest.
During the resting period, there were only a few plants in my garden. So, I don't have to worry about leaving my garden. Coincidentally, another moment came. I had to accompany my husband to another city, about 10 hours away by car.
My husband and I are currently starting a business selling plant seeds at planting age. Most of them are seeds of plants that are in demand in our area. Such as durian plants, avocado plants, guava plants, and more.
So, on this trip we received orders for lots of durian plant seeds ready to be planted. My husband and I were excited to go on this trip.
Breakfast Time
We left at six in the morning. Then, my husband asked me to rest at 9 am.
We stopped at a famous cafe in this area which is located in the city center, and on the side of the main road. Also, they have been open since morning which is intended for cross-city travelers who want to rest.
This cafe is called POS KUPI. A popular place for serving coffee, as well as several breakfast menus.
Before eating my breakfast, I ordered hot tea, also to warm my cold body. Warms, also calms my mind with the distinctive aroma of tea.
I have to adapt to many new things. Especially those related to my garden, as well as my new business with my husband.
Well, then the food for my breakfast came. A portion of rice cakes served with spiced coconut milk gravy, with spicy flavor, absolutely. :)
Rice cake menu is a popular Indonesian traditional breakfast. Usually, rice cakes are also served with yellow noodles, curry jackfruits, spicy tempeh, also crackers. In Indonesia, we call this menu: Lontong Sayur. Lontong means rice cakes, and Sayur means vegetables.
The rice cakes menu served by this place is also soooo good! Makes me satisfied. Also, with cheap price :)
Regarding the place, this place is designed to be spacious, with lots of seating and tables for visitors to choose from. So, this place will not feel crowded when there are lots of visitors.
All the chairs use rattan chairs which look classic but nice at the same time.
Combined with brick walls which emphasize the deep impression of this place. Impressive enough to remember. :)
Morning Walking
It is a good choice if we have time to do walking after having breakfast. Even though we are in another city, we can still do healthy activities.
Luckily, this stopover is in the city center, next to the city square which has a nice public area.
So, without thinking much, I and my husband did a morning walk. We hadn't paid for our order and the waiter had no problem with that. I told a male waiter there that I would come back later for coffee and my car was still parked in front of the cafe.
Throughout the public areas it feels very fresh, with sunlight starting to fill up. Around this area there are many large trees.
One type of large tree is tamarind trees. Have you ever seen tamarind trees before? Tamarind trees are popular for using their fruit to make tamarind paste. There are lots of Indonesian food recipes that use tamarind paste ingredients.
You can see there are lots of tamarind fruits hanging on the trees. Usually, when ripe, tamarind fruits will fall by themselves.
It reminds me of my childhood at school. In the past, after school I usually walked home looking for ripe tamarind fruits.
Like this time, I looked for ripe tamarind fruits. Unfortunately, I'm out of luck. The tamarind fruits that I found were dry because they were exposed to sunlight. Also, the fruits have been eaten by ants. Maybe next time, I'll be lucky. Lets see.
I continued walking around this public area, going for a little stretching and enjoying the warm sunlight for my skin.
Coffee, Please
At the end of my time at this cafe, I ordered a cup of coffee. My husband and I share because it's enough.
Enough to rest and replenish energy. Then, my husband was ready to drive the car again.
A journey always leads us to new stories, as well as experiences that sometimes feel like we are pressed into uncomfortable moments. Because..., this is life. Enjoy ❤️
