Greetings friends.
The calendar shows me that another week and September will be behind us. The warm season has already passed. Yesterday the North blew on us and drove away the heat. I put the shorts away until next year, now I need to dress warmer.
The mushroom season is over. It was not long this year, only a couple of weeks, but in 2 weeks everyone managed to collect mushrooms and make supplies for the winter.
It's like fishing. You can sit all day and not see a single bite, but the time comes and the fish literally start to throw themselves at the bait and then you can't yawn, you need to catch fish in time.
Currently, I am more interested in mushrooms as an object for photographing, rather than a food product. Maybe that's why mushrooms come to my house by themselves. This year, I had a real invasion of wild mushrooms in my backyard. You might even think that someone deliberately planted mushroom spores on my site, that they grew like grass.
But there are many benefits to this. As soon as mushrooms appear in the yard, this means that you can go to the forest and look for good delicious mushrooms. Of course, we do not collect these mushrooms, I mow them together with the grass. Maybe that's why they began to grow so abundantly.
Of course, if porcini mushrooms decided to grow so abundantly on my land, it would be simply amazing. I have seen several videos on YouTube showing how people deliberately sow mushroom spores near their homes and collect mushrooms in autumn. But for this, at least it was necessary to go to the forest and stock up on old overgrown mushrooms to use them as planting material. But we also need the appropriate soil. And I think that's the main factor.
So why did I call mushrooms indicators? I have already mentioned that they are indicators that it is time to look for mushrooms in the forest. I know fishermen who have an aquarium with fish at home and by the behavior of these fish, they predict the activity of fish in the river.
Tomorrow morning I will go with the dog to the forest, which has a lot of mushrooms. The weather promises to be beautiful. It's going to be fun!
