Greetings ASEAN Hivers, this week's challenge is all about street life and the stories that go with it, so get out your cameras and keyboards.
🏙️ Street Life Stories 🛣️
👨💻 Week #130 👩💻
October 14th ➡️ October 21st, 2024Southeast Asia is full of vibrant street life, so this challenge is a good opportunity to document it and tell the story. Perhaps your life is a rural one, but even in rural Southeast Asia there is never a dull moment on the roads. Whether it be vendors selling food, 4 people sharing one motorcycle, a car crash, dog fights, there is always something going on. Many people in this part of the world earn their living on the streets, whether it be a tuk-tuk driver or a mobile watch seller, the variety of self-employment is without end.
I must apologize for this challenge being posted a little late, but I am in Siem Reap with guests and have little time to sit down and catch up on Hive things. I'll do my best to catch up and I hope all of you reading this time can still find time to join this challenge. Hit the streets and document anything you like, just remember to be creative, snap engaging shots and tell an interesting story.
Week #129 ASEAN Hive Challenge Winners
📚 My Favorite Books 🔖
📚 My Favorite Books 🔖
Thiis challenge's winners are both worthy of the prizes, and both are very diverse. One book is from an American living in Southeast Asia, and the book is American one I've always wanted to read but have never seen a hardcopy yet. Our second prize winner is a well-known Filipino member with some vintage American books and other interesting reads.
1st Prize 🏆 10% Beneficiary & 150 Ecency Points

If you are from the USA, there is a good chance that this book was basically forced on you in high school. I had been told by people that went to school a decade or so before me that something by Ray Bradbury was included in almost all high school curriculums but by the time I was there they had moved it over the Dandelion Wine instead of a titular book that is a reflection of society that unfortunately reflects so much of what is actually going on in the world, and especially the United States right now.
2nd Prize 🥈 6% Beneficiary & 100 Ecency Points

This book of mine is a kind of old books and the topics was already translated from Spanish to Tagalog versions.
3rd Prize 🥉 4% Beneficiary & 75 Ecency Points
The two above entries were such good reads, but also the only two entries, that I decided to split the third prize rewards between the two of them. I am more than happy to award these prizes.
