The Airdrop Game is Humbling

Farming airdrops has exposed me to different experiences on the web3 crypto space that I never imagined I would have. My top lesson from these experiences is to fall in love with the law of zero expectations. To survive this game of luck and chance, it is better to expect nothing, for your own peace of mind. I can’t count how many times I’ve approached the launch of a project with high expectations, only to have them crushed.

Right now, I’ve decided to just engage with projects and lower my hopes. Do my research based on tokenomics and what not; but ultimately I plan to continue doing what I do because I actually enjoy the exposures and experiences I get from interacting and learning about several web 3 projects on a daily basis.

Most projects developers believe they don’t owe their community anything after an unfair allocation, meanwhile the only reason they managed to have that number of users is the promise of an airdrop. It is no news that the promise of airdrop allocation is a popular bait in the industry to garner attention and engagement.

It is unrealistic to expect every project to do great upon their launch; some become successful and others don’t. There’s no way to tell which is going to be all that and vice versa. The truth is, when a farmer finally gets their big break, most of the time it is an unexpected win. So, the best approach is to keep doing what you’re doing. Engage with as much projects as you can. You never can tell.

Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
