Hello everyone, I wish you a Happy New Year!

This time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will be showing you a ranked battle in the modern league using the powerful Venka.

First, let's talk a little bit about Venka the Vile, a powerful legendary unit that was released after the third rebellion conflict ended. She is very aggresive, but has no defenses at all with only 6 hit points.

Venka is one of the four playable units in the modern league that have an attack power of 7. The other three units are, Mordeus (fire unit), Jared Scar (life unit), and Gorth, who can only be played if the gladius ruleset is active.

Venka is also one of four units that has the Charge ability, allowing her to attack from any position. The other three units are, Halaran Huntress (earth unit), Frigid Wolf (life unit) and Riklauniman (earth and life).

Venka's attacks penetrate armor thanks to her second ability, meaning that if her attack exceeds the enemy unit's armor, the remaining damage is applied to the unit's health.

At level 2 she gains the Oppress ability, which allows her to deal double damage when attacking enemy units that have no attack. And at level 4 she gains the Trample ability, performing another attack when she defeats an enemy, on the next enemy unit.

In this battle, only units with an odd mana cost can be played, so the reliable Grimbardun Smith was left out of the game. Once again, I chose Eternal Tofu as my summoner, and thanks to him I gave the Corrosive Ward and Divine Shield ability to three allies.

I assumed that the enemy would also play Venka, so in the first position I put Grimbardun Fighter who is very good against melee units, as he takes reduced damage from them thanks to his shield, and also the armor of the enemy unit attacking him is reduced by 2.

In the second position, I used Halfling Refugee, currently the most used 1 mana unit because he has very good stats, he has more health than most creatures on the battlefied.

In the third position, Chaos Agent, who can dodge magic attacks as if they were melee or ranged attacks thanks to his Phase. He also has a 25% extra chance to evade melee and ranged attacks and if any enemy misses their attacks against him, the enemy takes 2 pyshical damage.

Venka the Vile in the fourth position, ready to destroy. And Spirit Hoarder as my last unit, which will heal a backline ally each round, and passively Blind enemy units, increasing the chances of them missing an attack, but this only affects melee and ranged units, so it's not very good here.

In the first round, the enemy Hill Giant is defeated when it attacked my Grimbardun Fighter, due to the thorns effect. Then, the enemy Spirit Hoarder defeats my Grimbardun.

In the second round, Venka performs a double kill by defeating Blackmoor Nymph and Spirit Hoarder. On the enemy side, Djinn Biljka defeats my Halfling Refugee.

In the third round, Venka once again performs a double kill, this time defeating Djinn Biljka and Regal Peryton.

In the fourth round, no unit was defeated. But in the fifth round, after a few attacks, Venka the Vile ends the battle by defeating Rune Arcanist.

This time, the opponent didn't use Eternal Tofu, but instead tried to win with 5 magic units, which wasn't bad at all, as they quickly destroyed my Grimbardun Fighter, who has no magic protection. But luckily for me, none of the enemy units had physical damage resistence or significant armor, so it was pretty easy for Venka to get double kills thanks to her trample ability. And thanks to Tofu, I was able to protect my first 3 units with Divine shield, before the enemies could reach Venka.

That's all for now, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
