Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! I've been not feeling well because I have a cough and flu, but I’m feeling better now. Today, I want to share my simple recipe for fried banana snacks using easy to find ingredients. Last week, we harvested some large horn bananas, but were not fully ripped, so we warped them using newspaper and put them inside the kitchen. These bananas aren’t as sweet and are a bit firmer, so I added a little sugar to sweeten them up. Here’s the easiest recipe for fried plantain:

Easy Fried Plantain
Ingredients:
- 1 horn banana
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups water
- Cooking oil (enough for frying)
Instructions:
- First, peel the plantain and slice it thinly.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and water until smooth.
- Heat oil in a pan for about 5 minutes. Dip each banana slice in the flour mixture.
- Place the dipped banana slices into the hot oil.
- Once the coating starts to firm up, flip the banana slices so both sides cook evenly.
- When they turn golden and crispy, take them out and let them drain on paper towels.
- Repeat this process until all the bananas are fried.
- Serve the fried plantains on a plate lined with tissue.
These fried bananas are delicious with a cup of coffee and one of the favorite snacks for my kids, especially with Milo. They taste best when hot, with a crispy outside and soft inside. We enjoy the snack and the kids already requested for another fried bananas like this later in the future.
So, that’s all for today. Thank you so much for your support. See you in the next post!
