For a very long time, the funds were sitting in my account idle. I wanted to put it to good use when the price of Hive was good. But unfortunately, the cost of Hive declined after that and I couldn't sell it for a decent price. I was not interested in converting it to HBD for a cheaper price. The idea is to hold it long-term in the form of Hive power now. I have been powering up only a small amount of Hive for the past few months. The reason was that I wanted to focus on other coins and other investments.
After the price of Hive dropped, the focus turned towards having more Hive tokens as Hive power instead of keeping it liquid. The reason is that if the tokens stay as Hive power, it will yield some decent profit in the form of curation rewards and the base APR. I also have some more Hive as SWAP.HIVE which maybe gradually I have to convert as Hive and power up.
Consider the possibility that I can power up more for better rewards, this month I was able to power up more than 1500 Hive. I initially thought that it should be sufficient but later after I saw that it is currently an opportunity to buy or accumulate more, it interested me. As long as the price of Hive stays low, it would be nice to buy more and accumulate more.
It appears that last year was the highest power up and I don't think I will be able to match that value this year but I'm going to try hard to get more Hive power before the end of the year. I'm not even sure how long these bear markets will last. But as long as they last, it is a good time to accumulate more Hive power. Every month I keep writing that this should be the end of bear markets but it is going on and on.
Last month it was not possible to check the stats of the account because the site was down while making the previous month's post. This month looks like the site is working. I'm happy that I was able to get a decent amount from author rewards and curation rewards. It is now a good time to get more rewards in the form of author rewards and curation rewards too.
When it comes to Hive Witness, there again the rewards are pretty much consistent. I'm in the 60th ranking right now and I would like to see some good values in the ranking page. Overall the market is not very great right now but if it continues to stay like this, it is a great investing opportunity for people who believe in Hive. For others who don't have the patience to wait, it can be a bad one because people sell Hive at this very low price.
