Whatever we do will surely come back to bite us in the ass. That's one thing I believe. It may not come directly to the doer but passed down to the doer's offspring. A burden left for them to carry when they hadn't done anything to cause it.
Getting back to my place has not been easy. I had to move to another place, and I have been busy, which put a stop to coming online, and I must confess that I do miss that. My brain has been everywhere, doing everything at once and getting some things set toward this new step taken in life.
Today, I was greeted by a gist from my sister. As usual, we moved from normal calls to WhatsApp and spoke at length. It is always fun talking to her. In our discussion, there were three things I was informed about that I couldn't help but excuse myself to rest my head afterwards because it was just too annoying to be heard, lol.
Best thing I never had; Beyonce.
While I rested, I started knitting, and Beyoncé music made its way to my brain. It sure has been a long while since I heard this music and for some reason, the tune in my head was so inspiring that I had to go to #YouTube to search for it and spend time listening and rewatching again.
There are times in life that we fail to recognize the true meaning behind some lyrics until something happens to us or we hear something that drifts us toward the music, and the latter is what made me watch.
What goes around, comes back around.
The goddamn truth some fail to understand. When we speak about karma hitting on someone's door, I didn't think I'd get to see it happening. For every action we take now, there is a consequence that follows, and it can't be escaped no matter what. If it doesn't come to you till death, then your children or great grandchildren will be the ones to lift the weight and if you have no one to pass it on, your name hits the mud.
What goes around...comes; Justin Timberlake.
How sad it is to see the sort of legacy you leave behind. The kind that is spat on whenever it is spoken about. However we train ourselves, we grow in that manner. There's nothing like I'll change later. If the change doesn't start as early as possible, the attitude we have becomes a mentality that can't be washed away.
...and, if by chance, our eyes open to see the wrong in what we do, it takes more than strong hearted determination to break off that chain.
Echoes in the rain; Enya.
While I was typing away on my phone, the rain came, and I couldn't help humming Enya's song. The sound of the music not only inspires me but soothes the ache in my bones.
All videos used were gotten from #YouTube.
Still yours truly,
Balikis.
Thanks for reading and listening.
Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
