A few days ago, I explored the small forest in the village again, hoping to find unique objects to photograph. After walking among the trees and brushing aside leaves wet with morning dew, my eyes fell on a cluster of small, bright orange mushrooms growing on the damp ground. As I approached, it became clear that these mushrooms were small bowl-shaped, with feathery edges that looked smooth but distinctly striking. I realized that these are mushrooms from the genus Cheilymenia.
I positioned the camera and attached a macro lens to capture the unique details of this fungus. Sunlight penetrating through the gaps in the leaves gives a natural glow to the surface of the mushrooms, making the color even more vibrant amidst the dark and damp soil. I had to be careful when focusing the camera because the small structures of these mushrooms are very susceptible to being touched, and I wanted to capture them intact.
This moment made me reflect on the natural wonders that are often hidden behind small sizes and rarely seen places. This Cheilymenia mushroom may look ordinary to some people, but for me, its beauty and small details are proof of how extraordinary nature is in forming life in various shapes and sizes.
