Hello Hello people of the internet and TBT How are you? I am happy because I just found a valuable jewel, these are photographs that correspond to my last year in high school. I studied at the Catholic school Don Bosco in Valencia, Venezuela. In our school, worldwide, we celebrate the “Don Bosco Week” which is a week before commemorating the death of St. Juan Bosco (patron saint of young people) during that week the school is filled with joy because all students enter sports competitions and talent shows, and the last day of that week the Don Bosco Cup is awarded to the class that has obtained more points.
Hola Hola gente de internet y del TBT ¿Cómo están? Yo estoy feliz porque acabo de encontrar una joya valiosa, se trata de fotografías que corresponden a mi último año en el colegio. Yo estudiaba en el colegio católico Don Bosco en Valencia, Venezuela. En nuestro colegio, a nivel mundial, se celebra la "Semana de Don Bosco" que es una semana antes de conmemorar la muerte de San Juan Bosco (patrono de los jóvenes) durante toda esa semana el colegio se llena de alegría porque todos los alumnos entran a competencias deportivas y a shows de talentos, y el último día de esa semana se otorga la Copa Don Bosco ala clase que haya obtenido más puntos.
For the opening day, an activity was held in honor of the Salesian communities of America, and it was up to me and my group to represent Puerto Rico. In fact we made a beautiful banner with the basic information about the country, that is, the number of inhabitants (at that time) and the languages spoken there, on the other hand, each team representing each country had to bring a “godmother” which is what they call a kind of beauty queen chosen in each class, and I was happy that one of my friends had been elected.
Para el día de apertura se llevó a cabo una actividad en honor de las comunidades Salesianas de América, y a mi y a mi grupo nos tocó representar a Puerto Rico. De hecho elaboramos una hermosa pancarta con la información básica del país, es decir, su número de habitantes (para ese entonces) y los idiomas que se hablan allí, por otra parte, cada equipo que representa a cada país debía llevar una "madrina" que es como se le llama a una especie de reina de belleza elegida en cada clase.

There were sports activities, opening show with flags and a wonderful parade through the streets.
Hubo actividades deportivas, show de opening con banderas y un maravilloso desfile por las calles
We were having fun taking pictures and we couldn't help but take a picture of my friend Geraldine with my friend Ruben who was wearing the Boricua type outfit and didn't like the way he looked. 🤣
Nosotros estábamos muy divertidos tomando fotografías y no pudimos evitar tomar una fotografía de mi amiga Geraldine junto a mi amigo Rubén quien vestía el traje tipo boricua y no le gustaba como se veía 😂
It was our last year of classes so we could not avoid taking a picture with our favorite teacher, wearing our uniforms alluding to our upcoming graduation.
Era nuestro último año de clases así que no podíamos evitar tomarnos una fotografía con nuestro profesor favorito, luciendo además nuestros uniformes alusivos a nuestra pronta graduación
Today some of my friends are married or have children, so that, together with our respective jobs, hardly leaves us time to see each other and share time as before, in fact, I have lost track of many of them, but I know that at some point we will meet again, because fortunately the Don Bosco school organizes an alumni party every year.
De verdad que ver estas fotografías nuevamente me trasladaron a esa época maravillosa, hoy en día algunos de mis amigos están casados o tienen hijos, así que eso, aunado a nuestros respectivos trabajos casi no nos deja tiempo para vernos y compartir tiempo como antes, de hecho, a muchos de ellos les he perdido la pista, pero sé que en algún momento nos reencontraremos, ya que afortunadamente el colegio Don Bosco organiza cada año una fiesta de ex alumnos.
