'Tapestry of Roses'

Greetings Dear Readers;

.
Shall we have a look at this Principle... 'Freedom guarantees inequality.'

This timeless truth is quite self-explanatory provided one understands what Freedom is.

When Freedom allows the choice of the individual rather than dictating it's choice on the individual, the results will be different/unequal.

Just as we see here at Hive...there is a plentitude of choice in subject matter, some posts are better presented than others, some are short, some are long, etc....again because of Freedom.

When we look at Hive's post offerings for any given day, they should look like a tapestry...various posts bringing about a quantity of quality posts in the E'spirit d'corp of Hive as a community.

The word 'Freedom' does not mean that Choices are not within certain guidelines but it does mean there is freedom to operate within those guidelines resulting in inequality.

Let's give this Principle a think.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Wishing everyone at Hive a 'Happy and Prosperous New Year'!

Bleujay
.

.

Principles are timeless truths as relevant today as they were yesterday and will be tomorrow and next year.

All for our ponderance.

It's true about freedom and inequality, although I admit I never really thought about it in quite those words.

I love this "Roses" piece you have created.

Happy to hear your thoughts with regard to the Principle.

Appreciate your kind words regarding the watercolour.

Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year,

Bleujay

Definitely a solid sentiment. Given a canvas and a brush with no limitations on what the final painting should be, none of them will end up being equal.

On the flip side, when I picture a lack of freedom, I also think of inequality. For, if freedom has been limited or taken away, it has probably been done by a person or people who are not equal. Probably in an effort to widen the gap in equality for their own benefit.

Rather than worry too much about that, I prefer to concentrate on the freedom I do have and what I can do with it to maximize the benefit of that freedom to those close to me.

Freedom is definitely a sliding scale.

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

Very kind of you to drop by...appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Freedom versus Tyranny.

It would be hard to believe that anyone in the tyranny echelon is experiencing freedom of choice as many would have been compromised/blackmailed in order to be in the echelon including the people/person at the top. Although their situ is a relative freedom (not subject to the same laws/regulations) to the masses, they are under tyranny as well.

Of course you are looking at it from the perspective of 'Inequality' and Bleujay is looking at it from the standpoint of 'Freedom'. So we have different talking points, which makes for interesting dialogue.

Thank you for opportunity to discuss the principle.

Wishing you and yours a Happy and Prosperous New Year! ^__^

The Rose Garden is a gem...full of David Austin Roses...your Kitty Cats would love it!

Indeed @dubble. . If one has freedom of choice, they should make the best of it...it is too precious to waste.

Glad to hear my friend! All is great with me too thank you :)

David Austin Roses are very beautiful! do you find them hard to care for? I would like to add them to my garden perhaps during the warmer months, I fear If I attempted it now in the UK with how wet, damp and cold it always is.. it would be a disaster.

The kitties would definitely love to roam in the roses! 😂

Have a wonderful day my friend and an amazing New Year!

Greetings @dubble ,

At David Austin Roses they are very helpful with advising just the right rose for the garden spot of your choosing...I would suggest ordering their Handbook of Roses 2025...although the same information is online. The information you will need is there in its totality and you will want to read it again and again.

There are some roses that perform better than others...first I choose the colour and size and then go from there.

You queried..Do you find them hard to care for? They have their idiosyncrasies...and once you learn those, caring for them is a breeze.

  • Need a sunny location...
  • Need pruning
  • Need regular watering, just not too much.

Spring is a bustling time for Roses and a good time to plant...almost every nursery carries DA Roses and DA Roses also delivers the plant either in a container or as the root plant.

Thank you for your kind wishes. ^__^

Hello my friend! @bleujay

Thank you for all the suggestions It's much appreciated!

It's hard for me in the UK as a lot of the beautiful plants, roses and such can't handle our tempetures and weather conditions! such a shame, so I always have to do research into which plants could survive the cold, rainy and dark seasons we have for most of the year 😂

Not a lot of Roses can survive sadly! But if you are lucky they will just wither and will re-bloom during the warmer seasons!

Best wishes my friend!

My pleasure! ;)

Have a blessed day @bleujay!

Honestly, I have no desire to talk about equality in Hive, which does not exist a priori, de facto and de jure, only empty slogans, well, enough about the sad stuff.

The principle you are talking about has its origins in the Garden of Eden and later, it was consolidated in Babylon, where man wanted to equate himself with God.

God gives man complete freedom of action, but man must always understand that, although he is created in the likeness of God, there is One who is higher, greater and more important, and that is God.

And in innocence among people, the same principle applies, someone wants to be like God, wants other people to rely on the mercy of man, and not on the mercy of God.

Something like that :).

Your watercolor is full of life and, although in the photographs the flowers are already on the threshold of their final blooming, in the watercolor this aging process has stopped, great job!

Greetings @barski ,

Thank you for dropping by and for the reblog....appreciate it so much.

You came to mind when I wrote this post...and it is 'sad stuff' as you mentioned.

Freedom can be a little or a lot. However the Principle is still true...Freedom guarantees inequality. The subject is Freedom.

Yes...God gives us freedom to choose for Him and His plan...therefore as a result...there is great inequality...those who choose God and His plan versus those who reject God and His plan...a big difference.

Your illustration is well said. So true.

Thank you for your kind words with regard to the watercolour and photographs. ^__^

Praying for you and your family.

Kindest Regards,

Bleujay

Thank you @bleujay, such an illustration will form in the mind of any person who is at least a little familiar with the character of God :)

First my compliments on your beautiful photography and artwork!

Freedom of expression was something that I really experienced on this platform when it was known as Steem.

And the freedom experience can be expressed within certain boundaries that are set. On the Hive blockchain these bounderies are quite flexible. Which result in a very wide variety of publications, indeed a result of the flexible bounderies wherein freedom can be expressed on this platform.

It's something I do like about Hive. Impossible for me to take in and review everyone of them. Sometimes I can laugh at a simple one image Meme post. And on another day I read an article and let it go through my mind, to respond at a later stage.

The given freedom of expression, as I perceive it, on Hive does guarantee diversity. And I hope it will stay that way.

Have a fantastic new year!

Loading...

I must say the third photo in this post of those creamy yellow roses is utterly resplendent. Lovely pictures as always @bleujay.

Turning to the principle of the post this is a topic which I just wish more people would think about and truly appreciate, as you clearly do.

In recent times the societal trends that have emerged are based around an ideology that has at its core 'equality'. I fully accept there are injustices in our society particularly financial injustice. But the human race is constituted by people who are all individuals and as a result a perfectly organic distinction in the social order emerges.

We are not all the same, we all have different skills and talents, we all have different intelligence thresholds, we all have different work energy levels, and we all have different personalities. That is the natural way. That is freedom.

Sadly we are loosing our freedom to the relentless communistic pursuit of equality, which quite perversely is inhibiting us all, reducing us to mediocrity, eroding our freedom and this will not produce a healthy result for society. It is a tragedy unfolding in many ways.

Freedom embraces natural, organic inequalities, because we are all unique. Inequality is indeed freedom.

Greetings @peaceandmoney ,

So true...you have expounded on the principle splendidly...thank you.

I do wish knowledge of this principle were well known, so that people were not shamed for their differences either above or below this imaginary, arbitrary standard that seeks to fit everyone into a biscuit mould. What would a tapestry be if it were all one colour, one tone?

Thank you for dropping by, for the generous tip...so appreciated.

Appreciate your kind words with regard to the photographs.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

You are right because with freedom human tendency is to overtake to others and take power, abuse on others for personal purposes

Always very beautiful photos of exquisite roses. I wish I could grow them in my garden! My neighbours could grow beautiful roses but all my four roses were eaten by pests! No equality in growing roses! These insects came to eat my roses and other plants in my garden! They didn’t visit my neighbour’s’ gardens!! No equality among insects either! 🙀😂

Wishing you a very happy and healthy new year 2025.

Greetings @kaminchan ,
