It's hard to come back and I don't mean the vacation that's over and the inevitable return home. I refer to the return to Hive, after the break caused by the recent trip to the sea.
These images are already memories.
The view from the balcony made me dream once again of a house by the sea, a dream that will remain a dream forever.
Vacation goes by quickly, no matter how long it is but more when it lasts only a few days. I don't even know when I got home, more days have passed than I had on vacation anyway.
That's how I understand that it's not only hard to go back home but equally hard to go back to Hive. It's hard to decide what to write about and hard to find the quiet to focus on the topic.
I've started his story and abandoned it many times. I'm trying to bring it to an end with photos because words won't help me.
The most recent photos are, of course, from the seaside vacation.
The hotel located away from the resort offered me the possibility of a unique experience by the sea. An opportunity long desired and now fulfilled.
I would have loved to grow up in a village by the sea. I didn't have that chance and I'm left with the eternal nostalgia of the wild countryside by the sea.
In the few days I spent in that hotel I left the swimming pool and the cool mineral water...
Yes, the pools are filled with mineral water!
I left the hotel and the beautifully landscaped gardens...
I looked for the way to the sea.
So I saw (and knew) that the sea was far and impossible to get there.
The view was great!
There was no further to go, I was at the edge of a high cliff. I enjoyed walking on the dry, calcareous soil and searching for plants and flowers adapted to withstand the heat and dry conditions.
I also saw wild animals represented here by a little jumping insect, I don't know what it's called, a grasshopper I think. The grasshoppers I know are green. This is the same color as the soil and dry vegetation... a mimetic adaptation.
Characteristics of Balchik are the white-colored limestone hills that gave the place the name Silver Coast.
Now I had the opportunity to step on this land and I saw it was not only limestone, there were also marine sediments.
It amazes me that plants can live in soil that doesn't seem nourishing, but I know how adaptable the earth's creatures are.
Land and sea. I came for the sea in the first place. Sea means water and land and sand and sky and wind and sun.
Then I discovered a road going down the cliff. I will tell you about what I saw there another time.
It was my fourth trip to this part of the world—to Balchik, Bulgaria, and the Black Sea — a personal record. What is special is that in September, I might return to this place for the fifth time this year!
