Greetings, airdrop farmers!

The narratives and trends in the crypto space change quite frequently and the airdrop boom is, if not dead, cooling down a lot. For farmers and hunters, this means we should focus on the ones with the biggest promise. On my list, the three names rise above others: Monad, Berachain, and Movement.

The airdrop space is very diluted right now with millions of testnet users grinding them daily. Still, if the project has raised a lot of capital and the total allocation is generous enough, there could be some earnings for those who work hard and stay focused.

Out the the three promising projects mentioned, in this article, I am going to show you how to start farming the Movement airdrop.

What Is Movement And Why To Farm It?

Movement blockchain, developed by Movement Labs, is a network designed to improve the scalability, security, and user experience of decentralized applications (dApps). The core idea behind Movement is to create a decentralized, scalable ecosystem of blockchains that are application-specific, meaning different dApps (such as those in DeFi, gaming, and NFTs) can run on customized rollups.

Movement has created a lot of positive vibes among crypto enthusiasts and even though it hasn't raised as much funding as Monad or Berachain, + $40 million is a very big amount. This money comes from investors such as Binance which is always a good sign and a guarantee of a token launch on their platform.

Entering The Parthenon

So how to take part in the Movement testnet?

All activities happen in the Parthenon which is sort of a hub where you can find interesting dapps and quests. It's also a place for you to keep up with your progress.

There are 5 Guilds to choose from: Spartans, Pathfinders, Explorers, Creators and Scholars. Each of these consists of different types of quests. For example, Spartans guild quests are focused on trying out DEXs, swapping tokens, borrowing & lending, etc, whereas Explorer quests are about learning about projects on Movement through their social media accounts.

If you are eager enough and have a lot of time, you can perhaps go for all of the quests in every guild but I think that's not mandatory. I have chosen a strategy in which I focus on the three guilds and try to complete every task in the Explorer guild.

I'm not really into creating memes and don't have enough time to produce content about Movement dapps so I haven't really touched the Creators and Scholars guilds. In addition to Explorers, I finished quite a many of Spartans' quests as well. With Spartans, you will be interacting with the upcoming Movement dapps which is not only educational but might also have some future benefits if the dapps decide to reward their early users.

Getting Started With Quests

When you have chosen a guild, you can then start exploring the quests. Each quest will take you to Galxe where you will find out that the quest might consist of several other tasks (sigh..), although I've come across many single-task quests as well.

Besides having a Galxe account created, you will need to install two wallets used on Movement - Razor and Nightly.

Now, here comes a pro tip that will make your life a lot easier when dealing with multiple wallets: use your EVM (MetaMask, Rabby) private key to create Razor and Nightly wallets. This way you'll make sure that everything is credited under one seed. Now you can add your Movement wallet to Galxe under Aptos wallet. For security reasons, I recommend always using a separate testnet wallet for any testnet activity.

Troubleshooting

Joining the Movement Discord server is probably the first step you need to take. There you will be informed about all the updates, get help, and check out if the testnet is experiencing some issues. The Discord ranking might also have some value when it's the airdrop time.

If you are going all the way with the quests, be prepared to join many other Discord servers as well. All the dapps taking part in Parthenon usually want you to join their servers and while sometimes just the registration is enough, you might need to do some tasks on their channels too. Then again, these are good places to seek assistance if you are having trouble with wallets or applications.

Conclusion

Movement testnet can be a little frustrating sometimes when there's an issue with a dapp but at the same time, it can be rewarding as well. Depending on the guild, you might learn a lot from web3 apps. For example, Spartan quests can be quite educational about defi projects and using web3 wallets.

In addition to Berachain, Monad, and some other big ones that are the most anticipated, Movement could very well be worth little effort. Besides the main airdrop, interacting with different dapps could pay off in the future if decide to stick with the chain when the mainnet launches.

Still, it can also be very time-consuming with all of the issues encountered(these are of course understandable since it's testnet) especially if you decide to start producing Movement content with the Creator guild. Then again, who knows, perhaps the quests that require more effort will be the ones that will be the most rewarding.

Movement testnet will still be ongoing for around 3 weeks so there's plenty of time to jump in! 🟡
