So I wrote a book!

A bit of a side win here, but I actually wrote my first book and published it for sale on Amazon. It's something I always wanted to do but I thought the process was much harder than I expected. Turns out, it was really easy.

Cool huh? Goes out in a few days once it goes through the amazon review process. Apparently it's rigorous and it takes a little longer than if it wasn't your first book on Amazon. I don't know but this gives me the really good feels and something I've always wanted to accomplish in my life. Turns out the system was so easy that I'll probably go about publishing a series and promote them on my personal YouTube channel.

Anyway,

I grabbed a few people from hive on the way. Turns out there were a few that were as interested as I was. There was a fair few of us too, although some people never made it the whole way through. Two people that stood out to me though were @deraaa and @hetty-rowan - Hetty managed over 10,000 words, and Dera managed over 7000. All three of us have our books in the review process!

We had quite a few people try though, and some come in for a nose. I know @niallon11 and @abenad got as far as writing out their outlines but they went quite quiet after that. That being said it's definitely not for everyone writing a book, and something you should be prepared to do only if you have something to say, or it's worth saying.

Also @doombot75 as a notable mention who stayed with us for the majority of the time and was our cheering squad for the entire process but I don't know how involved they were because they never shared anything.

But that's an interesting new avenue to take up now, is authoring, something I've wanted to do my whole life and was told that only losers do this. And here we are, after helping thousands of people in my life I continue to do so through my shared struggle. I love it. Very proud.

But, it's back to BRO after that short stint away. Since I know the process I'll get writing but at a much slower pace. There's no way I want to do a book in less than seven days again, I want to produce something lengthier and with more substance next time. I'm sure I have a lot to say!

And that's it for now. Let's get back to earning!

Congratulations!! I swear I never thought it was something I could actually do. I always saw writing a book as something way out of my league and requires 1000x brain power. But I have learned the basics. Hahaha.

Same, actually! Now we can sit up there with people that have done it :)

Congratulations 🎊

Thank you :)

I'm guessing it's probably easier to write something nonfiction like this than fiction. I feel like a lot of times with fiction people just rehash similar themes that have been covered a million times already. It's hard to find a unique plot these days.

You see that with movies. It's all the same theme! Everyone's doing sequels because no-one has anything new.

Sequels or remakes. You are totally right!

Congrats on the book. That is a real accomplishment.

Thank you :)

Congratulations Ray, I did share my outline but work really got in the way for me, I did put something up on Sunday and it’s up for review presently. Hopefully it gets published and I will go back and expand on it a bit in future to make it a more full fledged 2nd edition. Learnt a few bits on the way and enjoyed reading the conversations had in the discord. Great effort from everyone who tried the challange

Nice! You should have shared it with us :) Looking forward to seeing what you did

This is an amazing accomplishment, I can't believe you've completed it already. The subject you have tackled is brave and having spoken to you I know there is a personal involvement.

You mention the process about getting the book published, or about to be published, on Amazon but how about giving us some details on the book itself!

Congratulations Raymond!

Thanks man! :)

Congrats on getting to the end of the process.
I'm down but not out. Turned into a crazy week for me but hoping to do better this week. I've started writing a rough draft in my posts and will try to put it all together and tidy it up at the end. Follow the videos and get a book published from it.

Not easy to find the time but I am determined to get there.

Still time to do it - doesn't have to be 7 days :)

I'm jealous! I was onto something new and exciting, though, but seeing you guys pull through was so energizing. How long is the review process going to take?

It's done! But I think we've had this discussion earlier this morning lol
