The other day, I made a post about my holiday coming to an end. That was no exaggeration, with the way I’m looking at it, my holiday would be ending anytime soon at this point. There are so many things I want to do and I know that the sooner I jump on the wagon, the faster I can get to work.
Does this mean I’m not enjoying the holiday? Hell no! However, having a good time this holiday comes at a cost and so far, I’ve not been able to replenish where the money is coming from. So, I have to get back to work and make myself some good bucks. But then, seeing how I was intentional about my holiday, I’m making sure that I see it through until the very end because I don’t know when next I’ll get one once work begins. Who knows, it just might be until the end of the year once again.
So, when does my holiday end? As a remote worker and being solely in charge of my schedule, I’m thinking of ending my holiday this week. Schools resume on the 5th of January, and tertiary students will begin traveling back to their various universities and polytechnics. So, as far as everyone else is concerned in Nigeria, the holiday would be over by then.
I can choose to keep it longer, but I just don’t see the point. It will only stop me from making some much-needed cash and just spending unnecessarily. Or at the very least, I’d just stay at home in bed, seeing movies on my phone or on the TV. When power is interrupted, I will turn on the generator, receive a cool breeze, and drink a cold beverage.
Being on holiday is cool, but then, it has to come to an end. At one point or the other, we have to come back to reality. Well, this is my reality. So, this is the last day of the year, and once it’s over, we move into the first day of 2025, and from then, it would be a countdown until the holiday ends for me.
As I mentioned, it’s New Year’s Eve and I’d be going to church tonight to step into the New Year with my family and friends and loads of other worshippers. I hope that this mass will be more energetic than the mass we had on Christmas Vigil because there’s definitely a lot that we have to be happy about when it comes to the affairs of this year.
Once that is over, all that would be left would be having to wait until this week runs out. From Wednesday down to Sunday, and just like that, the week would end and my holiday would go with it. Then, I’d be back fully in the work mode.
There is a lot to look forward to about the year 2025, and I’m certain that no matter how it turns out, it will definitely work out for us. There’s a plan in place, and I’m certain that as long as this plan is followed strictly, I’ll get everything that I’m after.
