Hello to everyone in the Visual Shots community! Today I'm here to share with you some of the pictures I managed to get this afternoon in the city of San Felix. Known for being one of the places in Ciudad Guayana where you will find the most diversity in terms of people (many Guayaneses and Kariñas), buildings (colonial and modern) and so on. A strange contrast to which we have become accustomed, but which is interesting or a bad thing in itself.
Every time I visit San Felix I feel as if I am entering a new space, a different place that distinguishes itself from all of Puerto Ordaz, including Alta Vista. As if crossing the bridge activates a different vision of reality that comes integrated with a warm filter in the style of Breaking Bad. That is why I have decided to integrate that warm temperature into the photographs you see here, because I really feel that way every time I visit the place. Like it's on fire. I hope you can really feel what I am saying in the pictures, although some of them express it better than others.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Visual Shots! El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes algunas de las fotografías que logré obtener esta tarde en la ciudad de San Félix. Conocida por ser uno de los espacios de Ciudad Guayana dónde encontraremos la mayor cantidad de diversidad en cuanto a personas (muchos guayaneses y kariñas), edificios (coloniales y modernos) y demás. Un contraste extraño al que nos hemos habituado pero que no deja de ser interesante o algo malo en si mismo.
Cada que visito San Félix me siento cómo si estuviera entrando en un nuevo espacio, un lugar diferente que se distingue de toda Puerto Ordaz, incluyendo Alta Vista. Cómo si al pasar el puente se activara una visión distinta de la realidad que viene integrada con un filtro cálido muy al estilo de Breaking Bad. Es por ello que he decidido integrar esa temperatura cálida a las fotografías que ven aquí, pues yo realmente lo siento de esa manera cada que visito el lugar. Cómo ardiendo en llamas. Espero que realmente se pueda notar lo que digo en las fotografías aunque algunas los expresan mejor que otras.
I really enjoy editing and modifying photographs. A while ago I used to do that a lot because I loved the results you get from altering saturation, brightness, whites/blacks, colours, temperature, etc. I like that you can get a new version of the same image. Each one saying something different from the other even if it has the same origin. This time I didn't do something too erratic, I just modified its temperature and contrast. Next time I would like to work a bit more on the editing because I was curious again.
I would have liked to have done something different with the Tequeños cart picture, but if I edited it differently, I would have lost the continuity. By the way, I find it very curious that lately the city has been full of this kind of food carts where they sell different kinds of food. As I said above, the protagonist can be anyone and that's the great thing about photography. And San Felix, where you can find any number of interesting or unusual things. A mí me gusta mucho editar y modificar las fotografías. Hace un tiempo hacia eso bastante porque me encantaban los resultados que se obtienen de alterar la saturación, el brillo, los blancos/negros, los colores, temperatura, etc. Me gusta que se pueda obtener una nueva versión de una misma imágen. Todas diciendo algo distinto de la otra aunque tenga un mismo origen. En esta oportunidad no hice algo demasiado errático, solo modifique su temperatura y el contraste. Quisiera en una siguiente oportunidad trabajar un poquito más en la edición pues me ha vuelto a dar curiosidad.
Me gustaría haber hechos algo diferente con la fotografía del carrito de Tequeños, pero si lo editaba de forna diferente, perdería la continuidad. Por cierto, me parece muy curioso que últimamente en la ciudad se ha llenado de este tipo de carritos de comida donde venden diferentes alimentos. Cómo dije arriba, el protagonista puede ser cualquiera y eso es lo bueno dea fotografía. Y de San Félix, dónde te encuentras cualquier cantidad de cosas interesantes o fuera de lo común.
