Hello to everyone in the Ladies of Hive community! Today I'm joining the quiz for week #199, with this being my entry to participate. Before I do I'd like to invite @estefanimarquez and @aliciarodriguez, who I'm sure will want to join in after reading this week's questions. I will be answering the two questions which I will try to explain in the best possible way. Let's start with it.

Working from home or working away from home:

I think that while both options have their pros and cons, I definitely lean towards working at home and I have several reasons for saying so. I'll start with a little context. Since I was a young girl until recently, I have worked outside the home in all sorts of jobs: waitress, salesperson, dispatcher, stocker, hostess, dishwasher, etc. It must be said that the younger you are, the more your labour rights are abused because of naivety/ignorance about these issues. However, this can continue well into adulthood whether you are aware of it or not. So as I said above, each of these jobs, although different in their demands, were quite demanding and rarely well paid.

The physical and mental fatigue that can be caused by having to get up early, prepare food to take to work, get ready (get dressed, pack your backpack) and take transport to get to work on time, is not taken into account in your working hours. So you haven't even finished getting to work and you've already done a marathon of tasks. You go into work, you do what you have to do, you try to be polite and have to deal with those issues in the most mature, intelligent and diplomatic way possible in order to finish your day peacefully. You get home and there is barely enough time to take a shower, change clothes, wash some clothes or uniform, prepare a meal and spend some time with the family. All to go back to bed and start the same routine tomorrow.

Although I know this is a general complaint, the truth is that the respect, rights and duties of the worker are still not taken into account. At least here in my country. So the salaries are getting worse and worse, where you don't even have a work contract and your future there is uncertain. There is no opportunity for growth and much less to get what you should be given by right: a daily working day of no more than 8 hours and a maximum of 44 hours per week, social security contributions, overtime pay, severance pay, etc. So everything is bordering on illegal and immoral. Your personal life is also on the decline.

That's why I decided to put a lot more effort into the Hive platform and put aside some of the jobs I could find outside. I won't lie when I say that I haven't had to do that this year because things are definitely tough, so I've had to "dance for the coins". It is said that work dignifies, but I believe that many times it really doesn't. At least not in such bad conditions. At least not in such bad conditions. So to defend my point of working from home I would say that: you work on your own (you are your own boss), you set the timetable, you can do without a uniform, more time to eat properly and to share with your family, comfort (ergonomics), you don't need to use transport, you won't spend on buses, taxis or eating out. And a plus is that if you find it difficult to be social, you can avoid that approach. Ultimately it all depends on your life, your environment and what you are willing to give. Without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by. Best regards.
