En mi anterior publicación les comentaba que me encontraba en mi proyecto en proceso del mes de Junio y se trataba del encargo que me hizo mi amigo Henry quien ama decorar sus baños con lencería para decorar y embellecer cada rincón.

In my previous post I told you that I was in my project in process for the month of June and it was about the order that my friend Henry made me who loves to decorate his bathrooms with lingerie to decorate and embellish every corner.

Eso es algo que me ha tenido ansiosa todo este mes y no hay nada mejor que irnos a las tiendas de tela y hacer nuestra tela-terapia (Esa es algo que me inventé yo) para desestresarse y llegar a casa relajada pero con la creatividad a millón.

That is something that has had me anxious all this month and there is nothing better than going to the fabric stores and doing our fabric-therapy (that's something I made up) to de-stress and come home relaxed but with creativity at its peak.

El tiempo sigue siendo corto para todas las cosas que hay que hacer, atender la casa, publicar en Hive, hacer ejercicio, cocinar, son cosas que inevitablemente hay que hacer y por eso no me he podido dedicar al 100% a la elaboración de los juegos de baño de Henry.

Time is still short for all the things that need to be done, taking care of the house, posting on Hive, exercising, cooking, are things that inevitably need to be done and that is why I have not been able to dedicate 100% of my time to the making of Henry's bath sets.

Pero en fin, lo importante es que voy como las hormiguitas, de uno en uno y aquí les vengo a mostrar cómo nos quedó el juego de baño azul con aplicaciones de margaritas bordadas.

Aunque el proceso básico es fácil de hacer me retrasó un poco el aplicar a mano la técnica de patchwork en cada flor y hoja. Es algo lento porque primero hay que recortar cada pieza, luego debes llevarla al pelón con pego, este paso ayuda para que la tela no se deshilache al momento de lavar. Luego desde bastear a la tela con puntadas largas de aguja e hilo para fijar a la tela y así no se mueva al momento de hacer Patchwork.

It's a bit time consuming because first you have to cut out each piece, then you need to glue it to the fabric, this step helps so that the fabric doesn't fray when you wash it. Then from baste to the fabric with long needle stitches and thread to fix the fabric so it does not move when making Patchwork.

La guata y la gripe:

Todo en la vida tiene su aprendizaje y esta vez me costó caro. La semana pasada mientras bordaba me atrapo una rinitis alérgica producto de haber basteado las flores junto con la tela y la guata al mismo tiempo.

Wadding and the flu:

Everything in life has its learning curve and this time it cost me dearly. Last week while I was embroidering I caught an allergic rhinitis as a result of having basted the flowers together with the fabric and the wadding at the same time.

Puntada tras puntada

Ahora aprendí que es mejor colocar as aplicaciones solo sobre la tela y nada más, yo sé que es un proceso lento pegar pieza por pieza, puntada tras puntada pero queda mejor.

Stitch after stitch

Now I learned that it is better to place the appliqués only on the fabric and nothing else, I know it is a slow process to glue piece by piece, stitch after stitch but it looks better.

La moda la inventó alguien que amaba los cambios y la lencería de baño también va por ese camino. Hace poco tiempo me di cuenta de las variaciones o cambios que ha tenido este tipo de cosas.

Observe que ya no se usan los volantes de gran tamaño alrededor de la poceta, ahora en cambio de usa sesgo por todo el contorno y que los juegos de baño en patchwork están muy de moda.

Al levantarme de esta computadora me voy al taller de costura para diseñar lo que será el próximo juego de baño, para eso mi amigo me ha pedido detalles de flores o mariposas para sus hijas. Es por eso que he escogido estas telas hermosas de flores para combinar con una tela más unicolor.

What's next:

When I get up from this computer I'm off to the sewing room to design what will be the next bath set, for that my friend has asked me for flower or butterfly details for her daughters. That is why I have chosen these beautiful floral fabrics to combine with a more unicolor fabric.

A new craft is in the works and I can't wait to unveil it, don't miss out!
