The struggle for survival is the main pursuit of every man. We all do whatever we are doing to ensure that we survive. We survive in the sense that our career or profession is what gives us the expected breathing through the supply of income to make our economic life keep going.
There are quite a lot of things we can engage with as a means of getting means of survival. There are jobs which are called employed careers either directly or as implied. These are the jobs we do as those who are employed by the government or other companies. In this career, we are working under supervision by some other who actually get us employed.
When working for someone or some other system as an employee, we become subjected to rules and regulations governing those who work in such places. The resume according to set time and spend the required time at work. We are regularly following a certain routine which is defined by the said job.
There are other set of people who are employed by themselves through their creativity and personal passion. These kinds of workers generate or create the job. They are those referred to as self-employed. They produce the job for themselves and also get others employed in the enterprise. The career approach seems to better the society more than the government or company employed.
The government employed or company employed are those who do not add personal creativity and talents into the economic system. They are dependent on paid job. They can only make their living by whatever is their take-home. Their income is dependent on whatever the system they are working for deem fit
But those who create their jobs by themselves determine what they take home by what they earn. The nature of their profession and their location affect how they can get patronage which eventually determines what their take-home would be.
Due to the presence economic situation, most people go the extra mile by working as a paid staff and also creating their own private enterprise. These class are those who are not lazy and who are ready to take extra pain in order to make more money.
In response to the question of @indiaunited on the #iucontest of this week, I will respond that I am one who runs my own business to make a living. I am self-employed. My profession is making leather bags. I produce different types of bags for different classes of people. The link to the #iucontest is here
