A better name is Bette than silver and gold. Protecting your name is just like creating a picture for yourself and for your born children. My parents will always tell me that a good name is better than money. Try to always create a good image for yourself.

If there is something I am careful of, it is my image and reputation. I try very hard to create a good reputation and a good image for myself. Whenever I see myself, my reputation is the only thing that will convey a message to people about who I am.

Reputation is very important because your reputation can establish or destroy you. That is why some of our leaders who have bad reputations try their best to cover it up so that it will affect their future. As a human, you need to be careful of the things you do and the image you pass on to people. Once you have a bad reputation, if it doesn’t affect you, it will affect your children. That is why we should try our best to live with a good reputation.

When I say that a good name is better than gold, I mean that last week my elder sister wanted a job interview in our company, but she was very late for the interview due to distance. But luck shined on her; there were few people left to close the interview. When her surname was mentioned, the chairman asked if she was related to Mr. Alex, and she said that Mr. Alex was her dad, and that was how my sister was employed in that company. After the interview, my sister walked up to the chairman to ask him for the job.

The chairman was like, I gave you this job because of how good your father was. Even in the absence of my dad, his image is still speaking well of him, to the point that it landed a job for my sister. Believe me, when I said a big name is bigger than money, I meant it.

A good reputation and public image are very important for our day-to-day lives. One thing I try to do is live a good life, because I don’t know where I will see myself tomorrow. It is nice to always create a good image of yourself.

Important for reputation.

Your reputation determines your future.
Your reputation can connect and link you to people.
Just like my sister, my late reputation got her a job.
A reputation can open doors for you.

Try your best to build a good reputation for yourself. The reputation you build for yourself today can either build or destroy you in the future. Always have this in mind: a good name is better than silver and gold.

This is my entry in the ongoing weekly prompt #hivenaija.

A good name can purchase more than a gold or silver. It might not necessarily get monetary things but yone would slways appreaciate the reward of a good name.

I learnt early in life that having a good name is literally far more enriching than silver or gold. Your narration about your sister's interview was a good example of what a good name can get/do.

Yes my dear

Indeed a good name is better than gold. Many children benefit from the good name of their parents and many households benefit from the good name of someone in their family. Above all else, we should be mindful of the image we project

Yes my dear we should be careful of the image

Nothing beats a good reputation.
