So, I am doing my absolute best to get my body back into a pattern of good eating habits and this very much includes food prepping and making sure you have the RIGHT food available and easily accessible.
My gorgeous daughter and I got to spend some much-needed time together! We first spent time searching for a heart pendant for my best friend's daughter who just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! My pendant was a gift from her mother when Matthew was born and I almost never take it off. The idea was to present her with the same gift. I realize it's going to require a lot more searching than I hoped. I am confident I will find the right one for her. I just need to keep my eye out <3
We stopped for a much-needed coffee and I was overwhelmed by Christmas carols and even a giant tree behind me! Looks like we'll need to put up those decorations ASAP. I wonder if we'll actually do it on time this year. Lol!
The major purpose of our shopping trip, however, was to stock my fridge with some healthy food so that I am ready when the ozempic comes next week!
Unfortunately, I overdid the shopping and paid for it dearly the next day. I found my knees and back suffered the most. Even so, I made it through most of the day, eating well, but then I noticed
@zakludick had left some mostly eaten snacks next to the bed and when I woke up from my nap, I inhaled the Doritos and the chocolate. At least it wasn't "that much," and I get to try again today.
There is positive research that concludes that the GLP-1 peptide which is basically Ozempic, actually turns off "food noise." This is incredible as it actually reprograms your brain into eating things that are actually good for the whole body and turns cravings for junk, off.
I start next week Friday and I am excited and nervous, all at the same time.
I am trying to convince @zakludick to help me change my gym membership to include all of us and lift training time restrictions. @aimeludick is already super keen and I know the boys will be too. I think all of us doing it together will increase my chances of success drastically.
Aside from eating the right food to encourage muscle growth, I will also need to do strength training, which I need @zakludick to help me with. Although they say that swimming is incredibly good for you, the benefits of weight training are enormous. The more muscle you have, the less chance the rapid weight loss will include muscle instead of fat, which is what I am trying to lose, obviously. Muscle development also helps to eliminate fat cells.
It's going to be an enormous shift, mentally and physically, but I want to look like myself again. I want to be able to move and possibly dance again.
Let's hope that I get it all right <3
