Hola queridos amigos ¡Feliz Domingo! espero que hayan tenido un estupendo fin de semana disfrutando y descansando para iniciar la semana con toda la energía positiva. Por mi parte les quiero compartirno visita hacia la iglesia o Santuario del santísimo cristo del buen viaje.
Se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Pampatar, Isla de Margarita, justo al frente del famoso e histórico castillo San Carlos Borromeo. Allí reposa la imagen del cristo del buen hiahe, símbolo de devoción de los habitantes de Pampatar, Margariteños y Orientales.
Para contarles un poco su leyenda, popularmente se dice que una embarcacion Española cargada de imágenes sagrada con destino a Santo domingo, tuvo problemas debido al mal tiempo y tormenta por lo cual debieron detenerse en la Isla de Margarita específicamente en Pampatar, los marinos al resolver los daños ocasionados en las velas, decidieron reanudar su viaje pero cada vez que lo intentaban se presentaban fuertes vientos y oleaje, ya tras intentos pensaron que era algo sobrenatural, por lo que decidieron bajar alguna de las imágenes sagradas y esta fue el Cristo, de manera sorprendente el mar se calmo y embarcaron sin problema dejando allí la imagen del Cristo. Desde ese momento es veneración respeto y devoción. En Margarita cada 3 de Mayo se celebran las fiestas del cristo del bien viaje.
La iglesia es relativamente pequeña , tiene una arquitectura muy hermosa a la que acuden muchos turistas para admirar y escuchar su interesante historia. Al final pasé una tarde tranquila, que en realidad eso era que lo buscaba, un momento de reflexión y de petición en especial por mis seres queridos en especial a los que están pasando por momentos difíciles. Hello dear friends, Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great weekend enjoying and resting to start the week with all the positive energy. For my part I want to share with you a visit to the church or Sanctuary of the Most Holy Christ of the Good Journey.
It is located in the city of Pampatar, Margarita Island, right in front of the famous and historic castle San Carlos Borromeo. There rests the image of the Christ of the good journey, symbol of devotion of the inhabitants of Pampatar, Margaritans and Orientals.
To tell you a little of its legend, popularly it is said that a Spanish ship loaded with sacred images with destiny to Santo Domingo, had problems due to the bad weather and storm for which they had to stop in the Island of Margarita specifically in Pampatar, the sailors when solving the damages caused in the sails, decided to resume their trip, They decided to resume their trip but every time they tried to do so, strong winds and waves appeared, and after some attempts they thought it was something supernatural, so they decided to lower one of the sacred images and this was the Christ, surprisingly the sea calmed down and they embarked without any problem leaving the image of the Christ there. From that moment on, it has become a place of veneration, respect and devotion. In Margarita every May 3rd the festivities of the Christ of the good journey are celebrated.
The church is relatively small, it has a very beautiful architecture and many tourists come to admire and listen to its interesting history. In the end I spent a quiet afternoon, which is what I was really looking for, a moment of reflection and petition especially for my loved ones, especially those who are going through difficult times.
