Hello Friends,
Source
Life has been busy these days and I missed to post my Hive blogs for last 3 days!!!
But I am happy to find some time today to write this One about the new Social Media Challenge we have got in Splinterlands.
Not sure whether it's only me or others also feel the same, I am not a BIG fan of this new battle screen we got in Splinterlands.
The image rendering is not working fine with Chrome, Brave browsers, while the only browser which renders image is Mozilla Firefox, but that is also not displaying those images properly and someone like me who wants to use those images as screenshots in the blogs we write, I find it very difficult and awkward to use those screenshots we are getting. Hope we will have some update soon from Splinterlands on that.
OK, for this week's challenge, I would like to present this battle of melee monsters as there was a ruleset of up close and personal to allow only melee monsters to be used.
Here I share the details of the battle.
Battle and Lineup:

Along with up close and personal, we also had lost legendaries and unprotected as rulesets as we can see from above image and battle had 37 MANA cap for this battle and that prompted me to use my favorite new melee monster from Life splinter, Drybone Barbarian in the front position and other monsters I used were as below:
Lineup:
1. Drybone Barbarian:
This is fast becoming my all time favorite melee monster with it's enrage, retaliate abilities and can take out a monster with each hit unless the monster has some armors.
The moment I saw it's unprotected battle, I decided to use this guy at the top for utilizing the abilities he has and take down few of those monsters from opponent. With enrage, this monster can have about 12 melee attack in each round.
2. Marisol Contuma:
As I do most of the time, I used this bloodlust monster for this Second position even though armors are not available due to unprotected ruleset, but this guy can be as dangerous as Drybone Barbarian with bloodlust is on for him.
I always feel this monster can be a great ally to Drybone Barbarian because it attacks before the other monster and removes the armors if any to help Drybone Barbarian to remove the monster it attacks.
3. Vulguine:
Used this as a backup front monster in case I lose both the First 2 monsters I mentioned above, but this guy wasn't needed at all as the First 2 were good enough to take the battle till end.
This monster, with it's scavenger ability, keeps piling up health and it is with enrage and dodge ability and can miss the attack from the monsters it gets attacked by.
4. Celestial Harpy:
Used this to check any low health monsters in opponent's lineup and this guy helped to get rid of a monster.
5. Uraeus:
This is One of the most used sneak attack monsters and being a poison throwing monster, I always prefer to use this guy.
6. Dumacke Exile:
And lastly, used another sneak attack monster as only melee attack monsters we can use in this battle. This guy helped in getting rid of dangerous Diemonshark which was used in the Second line by opponent.
I normally, haven't used this monster much, but I see this is a great One for sneak attack and it's speed is good too.
The battle was fought for just 3 rounds and Drybone Barbarian accounted for First 2 monsters used by opponent and others were part of removals from either sneak attack or removed by Marisol Contuma and this battle once again proved that, Drybobe Barbarian when on song, he keeps moving like a bulldozer and keeps removing whatever comes in it's way.
I hope you enjoyed this battle, here I am sharing few screenshots from the battle, but as I said above, I am not a big fan of this new battle screen as the screenshots aren't that clear with all the stats of each of those cards used.
These new battle screen battles really aren't that enjoyable and I just hope that, the Splinterlands team will work on these based on the feedback it might have got from other users and there will be improvements on this or revert back to old battle screen.
Thanks and Have a good day :)
