Hi Friends,
Source
If you are an existing Splinterlands player, you already know that, Splinterlands has introduced a new referral program a new ambassador program where in, there will be many benefits when we try to bring in new players into the game.
For new players or someone who is not part of the Splinterlands game yet, here I am gonna explain about the ambassador program and also would like to invite you to play this awesome #play2earn game which is also now #freetoplay as the game can now be tried and tested by new joiners before they could buy the spell book which is like the key to this game to start earning Crypto and also trade it to buy cards or sell it to earn Hive, oh there are more ways of using the benefits of this game.
So, let's go and see what this new ambassador program is, but, hold on, let's first see the existing program to compare it with the new ambassador program and the benefits this newly introduced referral system brings.
Existing Referral Program:

The existing referral system (well it's laid to rest already, yeah) used to provide 5% benefit from the spell book purchase and also 5% of the lifetime purchases of card packs means the packs of different editions like Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Chaos Legion, Rift Watchers and recently introduced Rebellion edition.
But, this is no more there now and as we can see, the benefit was limited to just for the spell book purchase and the card packs purchase solely purchased on the Splinterlands website.
This was having loopholes as the card packs were cheaper on Secondary markets such as peakmonsters.com Hive-Engine.com and others and hence, it was sort of not that popular although there was incentive for those who buy the packs from Splinterlands website during the pre-sale as that used to offer additional benefit of getting promo cards and airdrops for pre-sale purchase and I think this benefit is gonna continue into the new editions as well.
But the benefits from referral program weren't of much use unless the referred person buys huge number of packs.
Proposed New Ambassador Program:

To eradicate the issue with the old referral system, Splinterlands recently introduced the Ambassador Program which brings whole new opportunities to earn extra apart from playing the game and earning in game rewards.
So, what is this new ambassador program?
As we can see from the above screenshot captured from the Splinterlands ambassador program page, the new ambassador program is divided into 2 tiers with silver tier being the basic one.
The silver tier enables the referee and referrer earn 500 credits when the referred person purchases the spell book and this is as in the previous referral program and there is One more benefit from the silver tier.
The other benefit is, the Glint rewards with 5% of referred persons Glint will be provided to referrer and this is also in line with the existing referral program, because, in the existing program we use to get 5& from pack purchase amount in DEC, but in the new program, it is the 5% Glint token from season end rewards.
Ok, that is One part of the the new ambassador program, the real fun is when the referrer reaches the Gold tier which is the advanced version of silver tier.
So, in Gold tier, the benefits of silver tier will be there no doubt, but, along with that, there will be further benefits as below:
We again re-visit the old referral program here, the old program's 5% packs purchase amount benefit is introduced in the Gold tier.
Along with that, there is an additional benefit of earning 1% of all the transactions amount on peer to peer markets (Splinterlands market and other third party markets which are approved by Splinterlands), wow!!! this is awesome right?
Well, all good things comes with a * ( yes, a star which is earmarked for conditions apply ) and the simple * things for these 2 tiers is, for silver tier, atleast 1 person needs to be part of the ambassador program and for gold tier, the number goes up to 10, means, there should be atleast 10 referred persons who signed up for the game and each of those 10 persons should have made purchases worth $100.
So, the rules are simple, but will take some time because of those minimum 10 referrals requirement, but the hardest part is about making those 10 people spend $100 each.
That means, the referee needs to keep trying and keep motivating the referred persons to try and win the battles and encourage them to make those purchases.
So, how can we encourage the referred persons to go for those purchases worth $100?
We need to support them to understand the game and ensure all their queries are answered and share some tricks of the trade, I mean the strategies for the game guys, and ensure they understand the flow of the game, and if required, delegate them some resources in the form of cards and whatever other things we can transfer as part of the game, so that, the referred persons feel comfortable to play the game.
Somehow, the referred persons should feel comfortable and feel confident enough to make those purchases on Splinterlands or Third party markets to ensure the referee starts earning from those referred persons.
So, that is all about the ambassador program guys, so, it's an opportunity to earn something extra from the game and moreover the rewards will be in the form of DEC, which is the hardest thing to earn right now in game and we are converting the SPS every time to pay for the seasonal wild pass and this referral program can be an aid for that DEC requirement.
So, give it a thought and start referring the buddies you know who are not yet on the game!!!!
