Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - Review of Rebellion Card - Lorkus Summoner

in #hive-1332317 days ago

Hello Friends,

https://inleo.io/@splinterlands/splinterlands-social-media-challenge-sixm7o

Gearing up for the weekend? So am I, Excited that it's a Friday and payday will also be there soon :).

Hope you are all doing great and enjoying your day.

Splinterlands has made me to start blogging again as I am getting time now from my 9 to 5 job and here I am bringing yet another Splinterlands related blog with this blog in response to this week's Social Media Challenge and I am going to review the much sought after Rebellion Edition summoner, Lorkus.

Line.jpg

Lorkus is a multi splinter summoner as like all the Rebellion edition summoners, where in, it can be used to summon Death or Fire splinter monsters and by default, it enables melee and magic monsters to have an additional attack with what they have and also enables couple of additional abilities which are in a bundle of 2 and out of 2 options, we can select One to enable the additional abilities.

We can see that, this monster requires 7 MANA cost and is a Legendary summoner from the Rebellion edition which is the latest edition introduced by Splinterlands team sometime back and is already a popular edition to be used in modern battle format because of the multi abilities monsters and summoners from this edition have.

So, as we can see from below screenshot, we can either have Life Leech and Affliction ability enabled for all monsters this summoner summons or it can enable Trample and Fury abilities.

Lets see more details about these abilities in below section.

Stats:

The Lorkus is a great summoner providing +1 melee and magic attack to the monsters it summons and can provide couple more abilities as below:

Life Leech:

Life Leech is an ability for a summoner to suck a life out of the monster it attacks in each round and this is enabled only when main health is reduced from opponents monster (NOT the armors)

Affliction:

Affliction is now One of the popular abilities started from Untamed editions I think and this will enable a monster to remove healing (either tank healing or self healing) from the monster it attacks, but this can be cured using a cleanse ability and this process can be repeated.

Those are the 2 abilities Lorkus can provide, but that is not just all, if you don't want these 2 abilities, you can select couple other abilities as below based on the rule sets and kind of monsters we have used.

Trample:

Trample enables a monster to attack Second successive monster in case the First attacked monster's health is completely removed by the First attack, thus enabling an option to attack 2 monsters in each round meeting the above condition.

Fury:

Fury is another ability introduced during Chaos Legion I guess and this enables a double the normal attack on a monster with taunt ability and nullifies the supreme power the taunt monsters have.

With the introduction of these multi ability and multi attack supported summoners, the existing summoners look pale, but all those will be good in wild format as those all can be used and those who depends on bot battling, will see all these old summoners still good enough to win the battles and this era of new ability and multi attack summoners and monsters will continue as we move on.

Thanks for going thru as always and I wish to see your feedback on these new summoners and this blog to understand how you see these new summoners and monsters.

Thanks and Have a good day :)
