Pretty frustrating Saturday as a Missed Penalty cost me 0.5 units in a match where Charleroi never deserved to lose and the +0.25 bet was the right choice. The good thing is that I'm still up on the week with 4 more matches to be played today...
Club Brugge vs Genk
This is a match between the 1st and 2nd position teams in the standings with currently a 4-point lead for Genk. Club Brugge has been on a roll lately generally having good form, especially at home. They took a deserved win in the Champions League against Sporting . Today will be their 7th match in about 3 weeks which might be something that weighs on them while for Genk it's only the 5th match in a similar timeframe as they don't play in Europe. Genk in the last 4 matches however has not really found their best form even though they only lost once away against Union. While I see Brugge as the team with better form and more quality, the fatigue factor makes it impossible for me to go with a -1 handicap. They only kept a clean sheet once in the 7 matches at home against Stvv so I see some value and took just 0.048 units on
Brugge Win & Both To Score @ 3.100also because I would be surprised if it turned out into a boring defensive-minded match. Brugge is at 3.54xg and Genk at 3.77xg overall in their matches this season. This match should be more interesting for potential in-game bets based on how things go. Genk tends to be good on the corners way from home without a loss in the last 6 matches. So getting a +2 handicap feels like somewhat of a stretch since they aren't going to just lay back and lure on counters. I took 0.15 units also on
Genk +2 corners @ 1.920 with an eye to possibly increase the position in case Brugge comes out dominant creating some early corners.
Union vs Westerlo
Union is in a similar situation as Club Brugge where they are playing their 7th match in 3 weeks while Westerlo is now playing their 5th. Union has picked up their form and also started to find the goal a bit easier even though their scoring problem I would say is not solved yet. This while they generally remain quite secure in the defense. Westerlo is not really a team I'm looking to back at the moment while the fatigue factor for Union makes it impossible to gamble on a heavy -1.5 line. If anything I would say it would not be that major of a surprise to see an outright away win and I think the odds on Westerlo are just way too high on that. I had to take 0.1 unit on

Stvv vs Anderlecht
So Anderlecht has been hit by a lot of injuries and they are also playing their 7th match in 3 weeks. With Verschaeren getting injured in the Europa League match who already replaced Stroeykens on that position I didn't hesitate to take 0.25 units on
Sint-Truiden +0.5 @ 1.874 which by now came down to 1.666 on Pinnacle. However, it looks like Verschaeren will be able to play and both Sardella and Edozie might also be ready. This wile Bertaccini and Delpupo are suspended for stvv with Zahiroleslam still injured. Stvv played an excellent match at home in the derby against Genk where they deserved the win and they tend to be better at home on their artificial pitch compared to away. They did opt to defend in the home match against Genk and only really started playing after getting 0-1 behind. I did reduced 20% of my exposure by betting 0.05 units on
Anderlecht -0.25 @ 1.997. Overall I'm not really sure at the moment where to go with this one but the fact that stvv hasn't lost a home game in a while with the possible fatigue factor kicking in for Anderlecht makes me still lean toward my original bet.
AA Gent vs Cercle Brugge
This is a match between 2 teams who possibly have the fatigue factor. AA Gent took an easy home win against Topola in Europe while Cercle took a nice 1-4 win away against Ljublijana. The travel factor plays against the visitors today. Cercle also either seem to have matches that go way over or stay very limited in chances and goals. What stands out most for AA Gent is that they give a lot of chances away with an average of 1.84xg against this season and 2.22xg in the last 3. I still see them as a team who have overperformed in results but it feels like they are getting to a point where ok results is starting to translate in a bit better performance. So I'm not really jumping to oppose them at home. Cercle still is in the bottom of the standings but I do expect them to go on a good run at some point and they currently seem to have a positive coach change effect. This said, the -0.25 line on AA Gent kind of is tempting me. The last 2 home Gent matches had 13 and 15 corners while he last 3 away cercle matches had 15 - 10 - 17 corners. So the over certainly will be in the back of my mind. For now I'm just waiting to see what the match will bring before possibly getting something in.
