Quite the frustrating Saturday with some losses on each of the 3 matches which added up to minus 1.2 units despite crushing it on the closing line which seems to be the storey of this season so far. There is still everything to play for this week with 4 more matches but far less betting action on my radar.
Genk vs Club Brugge
Both teams have missed their start against not the best teams and the pressure is on today. Overall I still see Club Brugge as the team with more quality and the -0.25 line yesterday tempted me. By now, this moved to -0.5 which seems about right. Both combined in their matches managed to create 35 corners but this against opponents that mainly crawled back so it might not be the best indication. The weather is hot which might have an impact today and I do expect drinking breaks. Nothing in this match really tempts me to take a bet at the moment so I will just wait and see how the match picture turns out before possibly getting in.

Antwerp vs Sint-Truiden
Antwerp started the season pretty ok will a deserved win away against Charleroi and an undeserved loss at home against Anderlecht. With a 2.23xg average they rank 2nd just below Westerlo so they do manage to create chances. Stvv wasn't ready at the start of the season after the entire core of their team left while the combination of a new coach and many players gone to the olympics was just too much. This resulted in a 1-0 loss against Anderlecht where they parked the bus like never before and could have gotten away with a 0-0, the home game against charleroi turned into a 1-4 punishment though. I had a lean yesterday on the Under 3 line as I do expect a similar defense building strategy but the line had come down to 2.75 and with a possible collapse at some point I'm not willing to take that. The only bets that I have an eye on right now is Antwerp on the 1st half corners handicap. I will however just wait to see how the flow of the match is early on. It's also not out of the question that stvv today just puts up a decent performance even though that would be somewhat surprising.

Charleroi vs AA Gent
Charleroi has shown 2 faces so far with a disappointment in the first match at home against Antwerp while they were swinging and willing to go forward in the away match against Stvv. Coach De Mil certainly is willing to play more forward football and I do expect them once again willing to play from the start today. AA Gent is in between Conference League qualifier matches and they have a lot of improvement left in the tank. They took a flattering away win against Kortrijk and had somewhat of a coinflip match against Dender which they lost. The main issue right now seems to be bringing creativity in the midfield and finishing chances. I do see both as potential teams with a attractive play style but they might not yet be there for this to also translate in high-scoring games. It remains an away match against Charleroi who tanked confidence last week so I really expect a difficult day here for AA Gent. The +0.25 line yesterday on Charleroi was slightly tempting but after it moved now to +0, I'm more tempted to take AA Gent.

Cercle Brugge vs Beerschot
Cercle Brugge still has a very similar team to least season and they haven't played bad but are left with 0 points. The extra matches to qualify in Europe and some players still having a possible transfer in the pipeline are factors that don't play in their favor. Beerschot is seen as the main relegation candidate, so far they have not been horrible but also not good and last season they were a good away team. Cercle should be better and win this one but the bad flow and the possible fatigue from the European mid-week match makes it no option to really bet them as the -1 favorite. I'm still going to ride the Cercle under angle from last season and took a small initial 0.216 unit bet on
Under 3 @ 1.940 and 0.064 units on
1H under 1.25 @ 1.873 leaving everything else for in-game action.
